Im always reading something, even if I have read it before. I would have to say my favorite book is Go Ask Alice. Gone with the Wind is up there too. I have read both many many times. I love to read I am fairly fast if it is something I really enjoy. Slow if I can't get into it, but like a half watched movie, even if slow, I have to know how it ends, I have been trying to read Insomia for almost a year now and just cant get through it.lol

Reading is something enjoyable. There we get abundant indirect experience, which we will never be able to access by ourselved. It also shares great feelings of human kind. We are exposed to the vast natural world. And we get guidance for self improvement, etc. the list endless. The issue is some people are so busy with daily study and work. Yes, but think of all the benefits, why not try a balance? Time is never enough, just be smart enough to squeeze some from idling portions. Bit by bit, you feel less empty, and broad chested, and more intelligent to face challenges. Let's enjoy life, and enjoy reading. My favorites are Jane, and John Christopher.

My favorite books are the ones fomr Howard Phillip Lovecraft, that are the best horror books that I have ever read, so scary. And I also love the book of Fiodor Dostoievski CRIME and PUNISHMENT. I love the way he describes the actions, the feelings of the characters, the ambientation and the plot that its very innmersive.

It's a shame that you think reading is a waste of time. I guess, it takes another reader to understand why we readers are just crazy about our books. I love to read. I read all the time. So far for the year of 2009, I have finished 30 books. I predominantly read fiction, and my current addiction is PNR or paranormal romance. I love to hang out at goodreads.com because I get to discuss books with fellow readers. Unfortunately, mylot does not offer that same interests here.

Reading is not a waste of time but it takes a lot of patience in the beginning. I am a slow reader but I've picked up speed every time I pick up the book. My favorite book is Siddhartha and The Secret Garden. I also like the Giver. They are fairly easy books to read.
