Last year I did the 3-Day Walk for the Susan G Komen Foundation. I'm doing it again this year and tonight was my first fundraiser. There's a local restaurant that will give you 10% of their sales for the day if you help them out by getting a good crowd there. I had told a lot of people about it and thought I'd have a good crowd, but they said it really wasn't that great of a turn-out. I might have made about $400 this time, but they're willing to work with me for the next one to make it even better. This one was a bit short notice because my husband misunderstood what I wanted to do. I asked him to set it up for at least 2 weeks in the future and he set it up for exactly 2 weeks. That didn't give us a lot of time to get the word out, so after my work slows down I'll be able to make a better go of it.

I am sorry you did not have a better turn out. Maybe next time you will. Those husbands sometimes do misunderstand things.Sounds like a really community oriented restaurant.

I've already got a lot of ideas to make it better for the next time - after I'm done with tax season :)
