The economy worldwide is going through a downturn at present. For me, my company implemented a 3-days mandatory leave for every employee to relief the financial pressure. Like us, so many companies are taking diversified measures to curb/tighten their finance in order to well survive in their industries. Those who cannot well navigate are facing the bankruptcy or will be bankrupt pretty soon due to the capital issue. Under the economy crisis, my salary / annual leave / welfare..ect have been affected, how about you? Share with us...

Hi benny, thanks for the reply. Yup, you're not working in some hard-hitted industries like electronic and real estate...so the impact to you seems light...Hopefully the economy can recover by 2010...and all of us can recover and resume as this credit crunch has really affected us a lot. Happy Mylotting!!!

I think in a way no one can escape from this economic storm. At the beginning of the year, i see many people are losing their jobs but not mine, now i feel the tension around me, i'm not losing job but i find it very hard to earn money but hundreds of easiest way to lost money. So my income from invest falls dramatically. The price of some commodity falls i notice that, but now i have lost the interst of buying them as before. thanks.

The economic crisis certainly affect my current life and my future development. You know, my credit card is hardly used. And now, the budget in every American university and college is tight, which directly affect my chance to get funding from them. And currently, I pray for my OFFER and hope I can continue my study in my loved field.

Hi, barrymystery. Honestly to say, it affected me in a certain extent, especially the salary. Our company have been affected by this crisis a lot, the sales increment reduced a lot last year. Although our company has not made any employee to leave yet, even some new comers came last year, but it seems it won't get many new employees this year. Hope that the economy would leave as soon as possible and all the things around us would become better.

So far it's not affected my job. Fortunately I work in healthcare and the need will be there for awhile. Now sooner or later I do know that when people can no longer afford these services it may/will affect me. So I have been planning on going back to school for nursing and am hoping to do so this spring. Because I think they would tend to cut back on the hours on the lower end of the totem pole LOL. I am trying my best to not panic, and to live my life as I always have. As for everything else. I put myself on a strict budget years ago to pay off debts and I already got used to living without the extras. ANd shopping with coupons I learned from my parents and all those other money crunching ideas. So I have to say the people who learned to be frugal will be the ones who can get through this without too much panic. Because in the end we know there will always be a tomorrow. ANd that is the thing to remember.

I am unemployed, and find it very difficult finding a job. Where my husband works, there has been cut backs on everything, wages are frozen, areas of rewards for performance, non injury, etc., all have been frozen. This is all to keep the workers working. I guess we all can manage, with out the extras, until everyone one gets back on their feet, including the businesses.
