Yes friends you read that right. I have more damage due to another accident today (Sunday). I was at my daughters for the youngest grandsons birthday. Just as we were eating cake a woman knocked on the door. To make this short she came to let me know she hit my parked car which was on the street parked legally and this photo is the result. She was backing out of the driveway from across the street. How she could not see a parked vehicle is beyond me. So tomorrow (Monday) I need to get ahold of my Insurance agent and file yet another claim. Have you had any repairs done due to an accident lately? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!

Sorry for your damage, atleast she was honest enough to admit to making the damage. I has some damage myself a couple of a weeks ago but it was down to bad weather and the council not clearing the snow.

It was really nice she did come over to inform of this accident. I just had over $7,000 work done due to a serious accident around Thanksgiving Day. The whole front end was damaged and replaced. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

Ouchy AGB - that lloks like at the very least a new door - lets hope there is no damage to the chassis etc! I guess at least no one was hurt and teh womn owned up to what she had done so it shouldn't affect your insurance - only hers! Hugs xxxx

The car is only 4 years olod. I got it brand new in 2005. It was a parked car and she was backing out from her drivewqay so not a lot of damage really. Enough to file a claim as the door and fender have dents and paint chipped. That will rust in no time in my weather here. neufrona

Good Grief what next? You can just be lucky she knocked at the door to tell you she even hit your car. I should first have said that here in Canada if that same thing should have happened and you didn't know who hit you, then you'd be digging deep in your own pocket to pay the damage. That happened to my first husband. He was visiting also and someone hit his truck but left. Maybe it's the same thing there is it??? Poor Buick!!!

Oh no! Not again! As the poster said above me though at least the woman was honest. Around here its tuff darts. People use our street like the Indy 500 and zoom down real fast, if they hit a car and damage it, they skedaddle and run off

Grandpa, it's just not for you to have that car in good shape! I'm like you; why could she not see a car across the street? AND why was she back all the way across the street? Hopefully, her insurance will cover the damages on your car. Sorry you are going through this again. e

Ouch!! Lucky for you she was honest. I have a dent and a scrape on my car from someone backing out of a driveway in front and hitting my car, they didn't come and tell me neither. Since the lady hit you, wouldn't her insurance company pay the damages. if your insurance has to pay they are not going to be happy with you, hopefully they don't increase your rates.

Whoa! You must be some kinda magnet lately. I'm sure tomorrow will be my day for an accident - we got that horrible "S" word on the ground. And people don't know how to drive normally around here, a little white fluffy stuff drives them totally insane! I hope this one gets fixed quickly for you!

Oh no, so sorry to hear about another accident. I hope you did get her insurance info from her. It was good that she come to let you know what happened. As for how and why people do these things is beyond me. People from across the street in the past have backed into our mail box and knocked the post loose but they didn't come let us know. I hope your grandson had a happy birthday.

Doesn't her insurance have to pay for it?! What a dufus!! I'm very glad you weren't in the care when she hit it! Well, you've had 2 and that's your limit for the next year--no more, ya hear?

One of our insurance companies will pay for it. But it is more about my $500 deductible. I pay that up front. Then the agent decides whom is more at fault. Then if she is found more than 50% at fault, I get my deductible back. Either way it gets fixed. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

You have a weird insurance company! I worked in insurance for years and in accident claims. I always determined who was at fault first and I had only so many days to do so and notify both parties. A dispute which was rare did hold things up longer but never did we take an insured's deductible and then return it later. Your case is pretty clear cut and dry.....It would be settled here really quick...like days. I hadn't gotten my adjuster's license so yours is the type of claim that I handled all the time.I would have taken your report...the claimants report and immediately determined her to be at fault. You would get an estimate and I'd check over the estimate and make sure that the damage you were claiming matched the accident. If I questioned it ........I'd send an adjuster out to look at it. Usually you'd just get a check really quick. Good luck and sorry it is so complicated where you are at. it shouldn't be.

I am sorry to hear that the Buick is suffering again. She takes a licking and keep on ticking. I know about the accident you had in November . You probably haven't gotten over that one. But thank God it wasn't any worse than it is and the lady was honest enough and brave enough to face you. I hope this one doesn't take as long to fix and she will be back on the road in no time.

Yeah that one bacl then was really bad as far as damage. This damage is minor and doesn't affect the driving of the car so it's bearable just to that point is all. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Thankfully, nothing lately. Though last year was our year for that. December 2007 someone rearended us pretty bad, and then 4 months later someone sideswipped the front in of our car. None were our fault, and no one was hurt, but having to file claim after claim was a hassle, and though they were no fault accidents, our insurance still went up, crazy!

Sorry for your unlucky accidental damage!Fortunately, everything except the car is sound and safe! I have no car but a bike.I ofent ride it as my main vehicle when I wander around , go shopping and camping. I always keep carefully, so it is lucky for me to be safe and healthy without the accidental things to trouble. Anyway wish you everything goes well.

I've an update discussion about this as well now I started today (Monday). I spent a couple hpours on the phone filing a claim etc and arranging the repairs and a rental. Now at 2 p.m. I will see how things go as that's when I drop off the car at the body shop. I asked for a better rental than that "ugly tiny red forieng beast of a Toyota" I got last time. They said they'd see what they could do as far as a larger car for me this time around. My fingers are crossed. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Nope...sorry this happened to you!....I do however have a neighbor who parks right behind my driveway...and in the winter it's very hard to get out of my drive with his car parked right across from my driveway...by the looks of his car he has been hit several times..one time by my son who was backing out of my drive....this year has been better....he parks it down a little ....

This street is more than wide enough to back out without hitting a parked car. I hate driving a vehicle with body damage actually. Especially one that's only 5 years old. Also due to the weather and salt etc it would rust quickly. So you haven't hit the car then I take it? J/K HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi there gramps! You have such a great sense of humor. you really do! At least she was honest enough to let you know! I have been hit in parking lots so many times and no clue who did the damage. Lately, I haven't (knock on wood) had any such accidents. There was a time that I could almost count on that whenever I got a vehicle that someone would hit it before I got thru the registration, inspection process. I drive 2nd hand cars and look for good deals. sometimes the damage is just extra cash in my pocket. Once I got a great deal on a car...a steal really and some truck rear-ended me 4 days after getting it. He totaled it. Even tho, I got a good amount back from it and far more than I paid for the car....the car I replaced it with was not anywhere as decent as the one I lost. So tell....did she have insurance?
