Hello Ladies and Gentleman of Mylot! When you were married or if you are planning your wedding, how many invitations did you use, or do you plan to use? Did you make them yourself or did they come in a count box? Did you send them by family, or did you send them by couple / person? My fiance and I are planning our wedding and plan to use 21 invitations in total. This is because we are doing it by family. We have 21 families to whom we will send the invitations to! We are going to do them by ourselves, but with the help of a kit most likely. We were going to do them by ourselves from scratch but have instead opted for buying them as we figured it would be cheaper in the long run. So tell me about your invitations?

We had three invitations for our guest. For some friends, we just invite them by sending them a powerpoint presentation invitation. For our relatives, we send them a formal invitation card, the one with two page invitation that includes the names of the entourage. With other friends, we just send them a one page invitation - specifying the date and place of the wedding.

Wow, that's kind of nice. Three different types of invitations you sent out depending on to whom it was for. Creative and nice! I appreciate the response.

This is a really good discussion baby and I am sure that a lot of people have different opinions when it comes to the type of wedding invitations they want to use,I am sure that some people prefer to make their own invitations to either save money or be unique, and then I am sure there are probably people who rather get professionally made invitations because they look fancy and they want them to get a lot of notice, and I can understand the opinion of both sides of people, and I know our wedding will be here before we know it,and I know we had planned on doing them ourselves because we wanted to be different, but we decided to buy a kit since they were on sale at Michaels even though we made them a little unique, and we ended up making like twenty four invitations that we are going to either mail out or hand out somewhere near the end of May and the beginning of June and I can not wait until we send out the invitations, and I hope everyone R.S.V.P's so that we know who all is going to come,I love you with all my heart and soul, have a great day, good luck with all your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

Yes I know that we had decided to do the ones in the kit because it was going to be less expensive we figured, even though we did end up customizing them a bit, but still it was a lot of fun to do, and very quick and easy once we got the printer start working right. I know our wedding will be here before we know it. I love you, and happy mylotting.

Well if you are on a tight budget yes it is necessary to be conscious about who you invite to your wedding. Well I remember in my case me and my wife to have to list everybody that we think we could invite in the wedding and from there we finally came up with the number of cards to produce.

For us it's not about just inviting some because of the budget. We have invited all that we know will come, and the rest is either just not very close in relationship or well that's it! lol!

My fiance and I are getting married in a couple of months, and we are making our own invitations. We started making them a while ago and we haven't finished yet. We want to make some very unusual invitations, and we have spent quite a lot of time trying to find the right idea. We finally decided to write sentences from A to Z. The first line starts with an A, the next lines starts with a B etc. Some of the sentences are serious (the ones that mention the date, the time and things like that) and the other sentences are funny or ironic. We plan on sending one invitation per couple, I don't know exactly how many invitations we need, about 25 or 30 I think.

That sounds like an original idea there, and I hope that you do not run out of inspiration. Now are these setences going to be the same on each one or different? Lol, because if it's the latter I hope that you and your fiance have fun and not get to stressed over it!
