Have you ever tried soft paws for cats?

I was just looking at them and they come in a lot of different colors and sizes. Do these work? How do they stay on? Do you have to glue them on? Have you ever tried them on your cat?

They are little soft nail covers you put on the cats nails.

My room-mate used to use them on her cat. They stayed on pretty well, but she had to put more on him every few weeks because he would chew them off, or scratch them off, or they'd just fall off. It's important to keep the cat's nails trimmed while you're using them.

I have not, but I hve a couple of cat friends who swear by them. What you do is trim the cat's nails blunt. Then you glue the Soft Paws on them, capping the nail and giving it a soft sheath. Then you watch for the cat to eventually shed them. They tend to last 4-6 weeks, depending on how short you trimmed the nails and, I'd guess, the age of the cat. I find that kittens' nails grow at a much faster rate then grown cats. That I only trim my oldest cat's nails about ever other month - as compared to one of the younger who I seem to do every week! Maybe every other now that she's a bit older.
