facebook virus warning!!

My boyfriend told me today that he was watching CNN and they were saying there is a virus going around Facebook so I just thought I would warn people about it if they havent heard about it yet! Apparently if you get a message saying you were tagged in a video and when you click on the link to see it that's when the "worm" attaches to your computer. So if you get this please don't open the link in case there is a virus attached to it! Happy Mylotting!!

Is that true? In any case, I won't have any problems because I use orkut as my social networking site and facebook is not in my list. anyway, thanks for the information atleast I can warn those who use this website.

That is why when ever I download anything, I scan it before running. Earlier in last year, I had a problem with one adware program. I was really annoyed by myself that I ran that program without scanning it!

that's definitely the way to go...these days you never know where these viruses are are hidden i had one on my old laptop about 6 months ago, and it completely destroyed it so i had to buy a new laptop

What the viruses crushed your laptop? That is as serious as it can be. I never knew that viruses can cause harms to the hardware too! I only knew that once your pc grabs a virus, then you need to format your drives to get rid of them.

facebook is great.i found at least 25 old school friends in two weeks.once you add one friend they have other friends you know then you add them and on and on and on.....try it its fun.

thanks dear.. i think virus is very rampant in a social networking sites :D it happened also in friendster some of my contacts/friends became victims of that one... thank God am not used in opening links like that..have to read it first and if it's not a personal message delete it right away ;) thanks again!:) happy myLotting!:) Godabless!0=)

Thank you for the warning! I didn't know that facebook would be so careless with the applications it approves. To think that they're one of the biggest social networking sites, they should never be negligent on things that might harm their supporters. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

It always pays to be updated and in the loop with the latest. I guess this should serve us all a good warning to take control of too much curiousity without sacrificing caution.
