Do you use a different soap for your face?

I can never use a regular bath soap on my face unless I want to end up with many tiny pimples the next day. And because of financial crisis, I resorted to using this local laundry soap named "PERLA" on my face and it works. It whitens, it gets rid of pimples too. I know some actors and actresses who use it. How about you?

Seriously now? Actresses using Perla? Well i've been using Ola! for my face and GIV for my body. My toothpaste is Maxxam! Lol, seriously , i'm using Pond's facial wash on my face. Safeguard just dries up my skin. I'm not really being vain but dry skin on my face is jus too uncomfortable. It gives me rashes.

Just like the response above I do not use soap on my face. I use a make-up remove if I was wearing make.up and then just ordinary, plain. lukewarm water. Soap was drying the skin on my face just too mucj so I stopped using it.

the PERLA is all I could afford. When my pocket's quite full I can afford a decent Papaya Soap. I really am not after the whitening. It's the anti-acne.

I prefer "saucy". LOL. I'm also fair-skinned. BLEH! Naaaah, just kidding. I have uneven skin tone. I'm dark somewhere and super white somewhere. If you turn my contrast notch a bit higher, I'd look like a white cow with black spots. LOL

hahaha, I am not after the whitening too cuz I'm naturally fair-skinned...bleh! must be the chinese and spanish blood lol.. I try to buy facial wash as much as I possibly can but alternatives like perla will do. Cuz I'm not the "socie" (however peeps spell it lol) type. toink! the only things I want from the facial wash are the moisturizing agent and it's milder than a regular soap ^_^

When I was around 16 years of age at that time I used different soap just to avoid pimples on my face. But still I was unable to stop pimples at that age. It was around 6 months during that period I used separate soap for my face. Have a nice life ahead Bye

Dove is good but the moisturizer makes my skin feel slimy or slippery and I don't like that because I'd rather prefer the squeaky clean feel.

I see, so that is probably why you have a very nice and lovely face.... It must be because of the soap.... Wow.. Or could it be that you have something else.. perhaps some inspiration? Hahahaha! some people when inspired usually have this very glowing and lovely face. As for me, I used the same soap for face and body, safeguard. I really do not have much problem with any soap but I prefer safeguard compared to other brands.

Really, I don't quite understand. I don't know anything... As far as I can see, there is a difference in your face the last time I was there. It seems that its more glowing and fresh. Perhaps perla really works. Maybe I should try it out and see if it will have the same effect on me. Unless otherwise there are other reasons that I do not know that perhaps you would like to share.... I am all ears!

I don't use soap or any facial wash for my face. I just wash it with water. that's it! thank God I don't have pimples! But when I wear make ups, I have no choice but to use soap. Anything that is available, it doesn't matter actually since that happens so often. :)

hello theresaaiza i have never heard of PERLA soap before. i do not know if that kind of soap is available around here where that i live or not. and i always just use the regular soap that i purchase for myself and my family when that i wash my face. all my life i have always just used bar soap when i wash my face. i usually always buy Zest bar soap and everybody in the family uses it to bath or shower with. well i cannot wait until i go out shopping somewhere again to see if i can find the PERLA laundry soap. and i have never liked the feeling of lotion on my face either except for when that i happen to have a tan or something like that in the summer time. other than that, i just like the feeling of my liquid make-up on my face that i use, then i use pressed powder over top of it when that i do wear make-up. take care and have a beautiful evening.

Hi to you Tennessee Woman (and definitely not transexual....like how someone mistook your TN for it), I don't think PERLA is available in US. If it is, it's probably in Filipino stores and would probably cost a lot more than it normally is sold at here in the Philippines. It's a laundry soap. It's color is white. I'm not sure about the chemical formula but we used to do that in High School Chemistry. It was done by mixing oil and sodium hydroxide I think. It's very drying to the skin right after washing but when the facial oil comes out again, the problem should be resolved. For me it works but I don't recommend it for everyone as we have different reactions to soap products.

yes, because i have to. and sometimes it could be inconvenient (like when you're out camping), to have to bring two different soaps with you. I have that type of skin that easily gets irritated and when it does, my face becomes full of pimples and rashes and they itch in some places or all over. But the blemishes are really the most annoying thing and hard to get rid of fast. yeah i' heard some old folks claim that perla soap does wonders for the skin -- i was always skeptic about that. so it really works huh?? Now i know!!

Camping!!! Cool! When I'm traveling though, I only bring the "PERLA" soap because what works for my face will work on my whole body. That saves me from bringing too many toiletries. I love Coke, too, by the way.

Yes of course. I use a body cleanser for body and I use a facial cleanser for my face. I don't mix the two because I think the body one could be a bit harsh on the face. I am not using one from L'erbolario and it's an Italian brand. I feel quite nice using it because it cleans well and it doesn't dry out my face.

Hi wondericequeen. I also use a different soap for my face because regular bar soaps can cause pimples to grow. For me I use Papaya Soap. It comes from an extract of a local fruit. I am not sure if you are fmailiar with it though

I am a simple man with a simple ways to preserve my beauty joke! I used only one soap for the whole body and its SAFEGUARD, and will use it forever. I don't think PERLA is good for the face since it is normally use for laundry.

The chemicals from our daily bath soap and shampoo are doing harm to our skin, while soap of natural materials is much better. I remember once using a special kind of soap said to be made with prescription from palace. It helped immediately to ease the itch on the back. Perla must be very good brand, and expensive. Right?

Oh no it isn't expensive. IN fact it's very cheap because it's not even a facial soap. It's a laundry soap that happens to work on my face.

Ivory is a very mild soap. Maybe that's why it works on your facial skin. Actually Perla and Ivory almost smell the same. I Maybe they are almost the same.
