Do you prefer homemade soup or can soup?

I had a can tomato soup and I added some corn into it and I had a corn egg soup with buttery toast this morning. It was pretty good ;-) I usually make the real homemade soup because I have lots of time and it has a lot more nutrient. Otherwise, I will just cook the can soup when I feel lazy. What can soup do you like? Or what soup do you like to make? :-) Happy mylotting!

You are lucky! I don't have lots of time but since I had an extra day at home this past week I was able to make soup for the first time. It was pretty good and I think I'll try again tonight - beef barley soup. I love all kinds of soup but since I had success I'll be much more confident to try other recipes like tomato, corn, potato, etc.

hello mermaidivy i have never thought of putting corn into tomato soup like that before, but that does sound delicious thou. the next time that i have tomato soup for lunch or dinner, i will try adding the corn to the soup. and i haven't ever tried to put an egg into my soup before either. i do not know if i would like an egg in my bowl of soup or not. lol and when i have tomato soup, i like to have a nice hot grilled cheese sandwich to go with it. yum. and my favorite kind of soups are like cream of whatever soup. lol i like the rich thick soups. and i guess that my favorite ingredient to put into soup is shredded cheese. we just might be having soup for dinner tonight and grilled cheese sandwiches. yum. thanks so much for sharing with us all around here at Mylot what that you put in your bowl of soup. take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

To be very honest here, there is very little that I like out of a can! Especially not soup...as it is such a simple thing to make, with absolutely no boundaries! As far as what I like...IT ALL, if homemade~! I truly love a big pot of borscht made the Dukabhor way...Turkey/Chicken...Carrot/Ginger...Broccoli/Cheese...yum, yum..now I think I will make some French Onion soup, cause I have lots of onions on hand! Cheers!

I prefer homemade soup of course. Anything inside the can could be toxic. You know, preservatives and all those chemicals. Besides, homemade soup can sometimes be cheaper compared to the ones in can. That's also minis the rusty taste left by the can must be from the processing stage. All natural will always be the best. Sometimes, a simple homemade soup is satisfying enough.

Home made soup is great and very healthy. I always make a big pan and freeze portions of it too so it's less work, love pea and ham soup in winter and lots of hearty vegetable soups, you can add anything to them and use up things which would normally be discarded like the long ends of spring onions. Bacon pieces added at the last minute give a bit of texture to the vegetable soups.

I usually make the canned soups, cause those are nice and convenient for a quick lunch! I would love to make homemade soup more often, though. I have a new soup recipe from my sister, so I am thinking I will try that recipe out soon. I really never make soup homemade, so it will be a nice change! I make most other things homemade, but for some reason, I just usually stick with the canned soups since they're so quick and easy.

I prefer homemade soup. It is not so hard to make and you can add things to it to make it more interesting. Cheers!!
