I come across this while reading a book and thought it was interesting, useful and a good idea. This is an idea for a child's desk, find a sturdy cardboard box. Cut off the flaps and cut it down if necessary. Then cut out a semi-circle from the bottom of one side of this box. The bottom of the box will serve as the desk top. Let your child decorate the sides with personalized pictures.

Chevee- This is a clever idea!! I've made desks for my children before using an uncut door before placed on top of milk crate storage containers. If you turn them on the side you can lash them together with zipstrips (cut them down so they blend in), and anchor the door to the top. It gives them a large surface area to work on. Great idea! Cardboard boxes are amazingly versatile. I have made lots of things that are useful from cardboard boxes. I used things we had and make things for the preschool when I worked there.

This is a very creative idea. I think we allow a child to use his creativity to decorate his own space further. Interesting and thanks for sharing.

Isn't it funny how kids like boxes better than most toys? A few years ago my grandson got some scissors and had a really big box, I can't remember now what was in that box, but he made a club house. It did fit two to three kids, depending on their size. He even put windows in it and had to tape some things, the door would swing open and closed. When he wasn't playing in it my cat loved to hide out in there. The desk is a great idea.
