Hi karthikeshwar.. As you said Laptop and Desk top has its own advantages and disadvantages. When we use laptop we will get more freedom to move that that kind of things. It will be very helpful when we are traveling more. And we can use some USB prepaid internet cards for internet also if there is no Wi Fi connection. But Desktop is cheaper than the laptop. And the maintenance cost also less for the desktops. We can sit more far from the monitor when we use desktop other than laptop. A lot of difference is there...and thanks for starting this discussion and have a nice day

hi well i think desktop is always better to work for a long time . as laptops gets heated very fast. we cant work on it continuously . again the main benefit of a laptop is the portability . This can be a huge benefit, allowing to take your computer to and form work, on planes, on camping areas and practically anywhere. again along with such benefits comes A large drawbacks. It is just as easy for someone else to walk off with it as it is for your. lap[tops are stolen at an alarming rate, because they are so easy to steal. and when it is stolen, you not only loose your valuable laptop but also your valuable data. another major drawback of laptop is that there parts are "proprietary" which means that if your breaks, only the company that made it will be able to fix it, and after the warranty expires they will be very happy to charge you an exorbitant. price for that service. While with a desktop computers you are able to take advantage of your local computer store often fix it at a much more reasonable rate. one more drawback is that they are made very expensive than desktop. For the price of laptop you can purchase much more powerful desktop.laptop is very important part of the computer market and I am not trying to dissuade people from buying them if they have need for them, have just seen far too many people dissatisfied with their laptops and wishing that they have purchase a desktop.

I prefer laptop,it is more small not heavy than PC .I can take it anywhere only by right or left hand ,I can also move it with my mind.PC is too big ,haevy enough especially use the CRT screen.

i prefer laptop as it is easy to carry anywhere i move. moreover the use is same as desktop. if you are perfect in typing then both are same and the best part is you don't need cables to connect. you can use it while watching tv or on the bed or anywhere.

I prefer to have a desktop computer. I don't have to worry about an WiFi connection. And with a laptop, I can carry it around. I think is very useful, but only if you can connect to the Internet. With the desktop, I am able to type better and fastre, brcause of how the keyboard is set up. With a laptop, the keys are higher. I like the keys to hand down below. I would rather have a desktop over a laptop. I always thought having a laptop was good, but I have changed my mind.. A desktop suits me better as far as working is concerned.

I can myot faster on the desktop pc because I can operate a mouse faster than I can this touchpad but I do like using the laptop more. I can sit here on the couch and watch tv while I'm mylotting or catching up on my emails and, of course, I can take it with so I have all of my files with me.
