Do you agree that enrolling children in play schools mould them in many ways that will help them when they join the regular schools? The concept of play and pre-school education has taken roots with the advent of nuclear families. Thirty yrs ago there were not many such schools especially in smaller cities & towns as they are today. It was unthinkable to put a child in a school before he/she turned 4 or 5 yrs. The reason being all the necessary needs of the child were met within the four walls of the home. Even if the child had working mother, there was always grandpa or grandma to educate the child. The system of joint families might have had some flaws but as far as the upbringing of small children were concerned it was wholesome. Presently when such system is on decline the play and pre-schools are making efforts to fill in the gap by trying to replicate the domestic environment within their premises. There are so many advantages of early schoolings. Please share your views. pkc3000
