yes of course mainly for our teeth to keep our strong teeth and away from cavities. i use it also to clean mirror/s in the bathroom. you can never thought that this will be so clean like brand new. i rub the mirror using toilet pappers or paper towels and wipe it again with a clean paper towel. then it is shinny like new. for jewelries as well. i am not much of a gold person but i have a little collection of silver and i clean it with a soon to dispose toothbrush. if you have crayons on the wall that wont come off try to rub it with a little toothpaste and scrub it. then wipe it again with a clean cloth. that is how important the toothpaste for me. not just for my teeth but for cleaning as well.

Thank you for your suggestions, here I'd like share more: We usually cost several hundred dollars to buy a pair of sneakers or any other kind of gym shoes, especially the white ones, with some meshy covers, once it gets dirty,I also aways clean it with a little toothpaste, brush it slightly with a second-hand toothbrush, and it comes to shine little by little,it's low-cost and convenience for everybody. My expensive sneakers come back again in shiny white !

wow... I think I'm gonna try that in cleaning our mirrors... I rub toothpaste on my skin, when I do get an insect bite, and when I accidentally pour on some hot water on my skin (ouch...)....

i use cold water on burns or tomato. toothpaste does not help me when it comes to burns. i dont think that toothpaste is effective on burns for that is hot already because of the burn. i will try petrelium i never tried that before. the fridge is the nearest i can see from the kitchen.

also if you can't get the smell of onions off your hands after preparing supper, even though you have washed and washed, use toothpaste to wash your hands and it will go away.

yes, many of the products which we use for cleaning ourselves are useful for other purposes also. yes, i do clean my jewellary with tooth paste and brush them nicely and wash after which they shine as new. Not only is tooth paste useful , you can even use the face powder for cleaning mirrors, just sprinkle some powder on the mirror and wipe it off with a clean cloth or a tissue and see how neat and crystal clear your mirror looks like. there are many more things like that which can be used for cleaning etc

Good to hear your story about how you use your toothpaste. I think for me, i have used my toothpaste for two reasons only. One is for usual brushing of teeth and the other one is for applying it on pimple. Although i have seen how the pimple get smaller, i don't regularly do this because i feel so lazy and sometimes, i get to use some of the products i buy for my face. Wait i forgot, i also used toothpaste for cleaning the necklace chain of my hubby when there was no jewelry cleaner fluid available on the market. It makes it shiny although not that good with the real jewelry cleaner fluid.

yes april, that is also included in my tip that it is also good for jewelries. toothpaste is not good for burns. i put tomato or ice on my burns. i find it really effective. since i get burn mostly when cooking it is easy to run to the fridge than to run at the bathroom. thanks for the response

toothpaste - toothpaste has many useful features besides brushing teeth
This is an important household tips:) Besides it, I have heard that toothpaste is also good for skin. If you have acne in your face, then just put a little bit toothpaste on the acne. It will be better next day. I love China

Removing crayon marks on the wall with tooth paste is a new idea I get from you. Also you can use it on the car's front glasses on a rainy day.Just apply some tooth paste, rub it and clean with water. The rain drops will not stand even if your wipers are not working.Cheers!

The weirdest use of toothpaste I have ever encountered was when my college friend contracted chicken pox during an outdoor hike. His face itched like crazy and he smeared minty toothpaste on his face to cool the burning feeling. When he washed it off with water he was like "ahhh...." lol :D

I heard of using it that way, but I haven't tried it yet. I think I will though. When I was younger I use to put toothpaste on pimples. It drys them out so they go away quicker. I don't know why, but it seem to have worked.

I did not know that toothpaste could be used to clean mirrors. I will have to give it a try. Thank you for that tip. I use toothpaste to fill small nail holes in the walls before I paint. Just put a dap on your finger and push into hole. Let dry and 10 minutes and scrape off excess with flat spatula. Then paint. You could never tell there were holes in the wall unless light shines on it just right, but barely noticable, even then.

I never thought toothpaste can be used to clean mirrors and jewelries... i think i need to try this one... but i do apply some toothpast for minor burns... or even accidental frostbite from the freezer... kinda impossible... but this frostbite happened to me when i was young... and the wound was like a burn... but weirder..

when i get burn i put ice on it. it will subside faster than you put toothpaste. or i rub tomato on the burn area. try it. toothpaste is not much that good for burned skin for it is hot with the mint. just a suggestion. i hope you tried it on the mirror at your bathroom. it does really the trick. thanks for the response

well i learned from my mom that after cleaning the fridge disolve baking soda with water and wet a rag from the solution. wipe the frifge with that rug for more clean smeel and it elimintaes odor as well. i also soak my pan with baking soda and a little water over night to scrape any burned food. you know that i have four teens and sometimes they burn food in it when reheating. iodized salt can use for stained china. stained from coffee and tea, i use iodized salt scrub the salt on the chine using a cloth. i have more but cant recall all of it right now. thanks for the response

Thanks roniroxas for this advice. I never heard that toothpaste can be used to clean a mirror. When my acne ointment went out, I will use a small amount onto my acne before sleep. The acne would be better after a sleep. ^.^ Good day.
