Finally got dads electric lift chair today. I ordered it through Walgreens.com on Sunday. Took just 3 days to get here. It was delivered by a semi truck and I had to help unload it and bring it inside. But it weighed only 135 pounds so not too bad. Then I had to put it together. Very easy as it was the back that snapped onto the base easily. Ever have to put a chair or couch together? Here's a shot of dad relaxing in his new plush luxurious new lift chair. This one has a thicker cushioning all over, a battery backup as well. A pouch on the side also. Plus covers for the arms and head. He loves it. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

That was really great that you had help getting it inside. I know your dad is really happy to have his new lift chair. I have never had to put together a couch or a chair like that but have put together other furniture and some of it has been a pain in the neck. haha

Boxed partially - This is it as I pulled it from the box.
I bought this from site online. Did not see it in person etc. So I was surprised at how comfy and cushiony it was. I'll be using it after he goes to bed I think most nights. Hahahaha! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I am so glad that you are both (but most especially your dad) are happy with his new chair _ I know what a difference this type of chair can make! Yep my chair has a back that has to be fitted on but the people who deliver it always fit that together to make sure everything is working alright! Think the only chair we have ever put together ourselves are some of the computer chairs we have had in the past! xxxx

He had one already. But with his laziness he kept using it to the slightest and then would struggle getting out of it then he'd fall down hard into it. He broke the hell out of it in many ways. Hahaha! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi Grandpa Bob! Glad to know that your dad got his brand new chair today! I am sure that he is very excited to try it. That looks very expensive and I guess it really is worth it with all the beautiful fittings that it has. Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith

That looks like a very nice recliner. I didn't know they made chairs that the back came off. I like the idea of the battery pack, and a lift chair gives your Dad just that little bit more independence. I'm sure he won't mind you using it while he's sleeping

Those chairs are great when you have trouble getting in and out of a regular chair. You can put them back and almost sleep all night in them. The only problem I have with them is when I put the back down and the feet up I have a habit of falling asleep so I keep a blanet over the back of the chair so I can just grab it and cover up so I do not get a chill. The extra stuffing sounds nice. I never heard of one with a battery backup but I think that is a good idea.

It takes 2 nine volt batteries as the back up. Think about it, the power goes out and he can't get the chair down to get out of it. Great idea actually. I never knew they made them either. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I am sure he is happy with it. It didn't take long to arrive neither. The way the backs of chairs snap on like that does make it convenient for transporting. You just have to sometimes becareful it doesn't come off when you move the chair, I have had that happen before.

recliner - mom's leather recliner with masagger
My Aunt gave my mom a nice leather recliner about a month ago. Auntie just didn't have the room for it any more so I was nominated to help get it) I knew it came apart yet it took me a long time to figure it out since there were no directions with it. Then voila! Two pieces! My friend help me transport it and it was very easy to put back together. I thought that it was just the coolest thing since I had never seen a chair to have two sections like this.

Hey, I love that racy red walker!! It looks like a very comfortable chair but I would hate the back leaned back that much. Did he get to try it before you bought it?

Your dad looks really comfortable in his new chair! I definitely want one of those. All the chairs I've ever had have always come in once piece. I'm a bit of a tv addict so one of those chairs that your dad has would suit me well! I guess there are a lot of deals to be had online now. Anyway, I hope he enjoys it and gets many years of relaxation and comfort from it. Andrew

I'll bet he does! The chair sounds very comfortable and it must be really luxurious for your Dad, so he's probably happy as a sandboy! I've never had to put anything like that together before apart from my typists' chair which was fairly simple. I hope your Dad enjoys many a comfy day in his new chair, Grandpa Bob... Brightest Blessings, my friend.

Yes we use to have a lift chair for my mom when she lived with us. She never used it though but the kids who would come and visit loved to play with it.

He looks comfy. Glad it worked out! Never put together a chair. But we did have to put our old dinette set together. All seven pieces. Glad your job was easy.

Well it looks like he's enjoying his new chair, I'm glad you were able to find one and didn't have to wait a long time for it. It looks comfortable, and I've never had to put one together. I also didn't know you could order things like that from Walgreens.

I don't think I've ever put a couch or chair together, but a few weeks ago I purchased a new toddler bed for my son and put it together. It was harder than it looked.

Your photo shows dad is fine and comfortable in the lift chair, thick cushion, and backup, really a luxurary. So considerate of you, and more interesting to me is the process of online purchase.
