do you rotate your clothes?

I know, sounds strange...like huh?.. but I was putting my folded clothes away today, again...and noticed a top that I had been looking for at the back of a pile that I had not gone into for a while... I wash clothes and put them away and those go on top of the pile, naturally but then we tend to wear the same clothes over and over again and the other clothes tend to get pushed back until we do a "spring cleaning" or search for something that we have been looking for... LOL do you find yourself wearing the same things over and over because you dont rotate your clothes?

I do the same thing. I have lots of winter clothes but I usually wear the same tops over and over. Sometimes I will pick a top I haven't worn in awhile. I should rotate more often.

I've rotated my clothes recently, that is to say, went into the drawers of clothes not worn and folded them, restacking them according to whether they were a shirt or shorts / pants... these are my jommer clothes by the way... lol. We do end up wearing the same t-shirts though, that is, my fiance and I do.

I do have a problem with rotating my clothes that I fold and don't hang up. I have so many sorority t-shirts from college. I wear them when im working out, cleaning, or just lounging around my apartment. They are in a tub-a-ware container in my closet and I tend to wear the same few shirts over and over cause there at the top. Then I'll start thinking oh.. where is such-n-such shirt then I dig it out and wear it. All the clothes I wear to work are hanging up im my closet so I see all of them and Im able to rotate. Great question!!

Thanks!! I am finding that we need to hang up more clothes in order to see them all at once and give us more a variety....LOL thanks for responding.

I do not rotate my clothes. I don't even have enough clothes to rotate. In the summer, I will wear lighter weight clothing and shorts, as well as sundresses. In the winter, fall and spring...I wear the only jeans, sweaters and blouses that I have. I find that I'm one of those people that wear the same clothes over and over again until I get new ones. I definitely need a new wardrobe!

I take the easiest way possible when doing laundry, there are 6 of us in this house. I usually dont have to rotate our clothes because I hang just about everything up. We fold our jeans, shorts, and skirts but otherwise its hung up. Of course with the exception of socks, underwear, etc. It makes it easier to find things and not wear the same things over...which I found was an issue with the kids because they just grab whatever is on top.

I know I hate it when the season comes to an end and I change over the clothes and think wow, my son barely wore a shirt or a pair of pants because it was in the back... hanging up is a great idea.. thanks for responding.

i should rotate them but i tend to wear basically the same few pairs of pants and shirts weekly. i change for the seasons but then i get stuck in a slump and wear the same things over and over again and really need to throw some worn out stuff out but have no money to buy new. oh well hopefully when things get better.

I basically do the same thing.... and really I could use some updated stuff for the winter... my summer stuff is pretty new as I have bought a few things on the clearance rack a few yrs ago and then got pregnant so they still have tags on them for this summer....LOL thanks for responding.

I too do this. In fact here in India we need to plan our clothes depending on the weather. I wear cottons only in summer as it is the best to cope with the intense heat. During rainy reason i use mostly polyesters, as they dry out quickly and easy to maintain, and during winter it is mostly heavier clothes, so automatically clothes are being rotated ..

Interesting discussion! Personally, I get lazy and just wear the few items that are super comfortable over and over again! Since I don't have a job to go to I can get away with wearing some awful outfits that feel great to wear but aren't really appropriate! When I do go out (to the grocery store) I have to change because I ALWAYS run into someone I know and it is embarrassing to be CAUGHT in some of the get-ups I wear around my house! LOL!

No, I try to rotate my clothes so I get the most out of teh moeny I spent for them. If I'm not going to wear them I try to resell them or give them to charity otherwise I try to keep everything ready to wear and in plain sight to remind me and try not to wear the same thing too often.

I am that way with my summer things... I wear more of them as we go out more and to more places, during the winter we are inside the house so much more... thanks for the response.

I rotate my clothes when I found myself wearing 2-3 clothes so often , especially I found that I felt bored when I wanna find clothes in my drawer.

I must admit I had just limited number of clothes. The clothes I wear for office is good for 2 weeks, so I try to rotate on a weekly basis, they after which I switch pairs then I also update my accessories. In that way I think, they would not notice that I have the same clothes since the style on how I wear them are different.

i find i go threw many styles, one for the swollen days, one for when i want to feel sexy and amother for "i dont give a darn what people see". but if i dont wear something for a long period i put it in consignment or goodwill.

Oh I know about the many styles...LOL yeah, we tend to drift more towards the comfort clothes on those swollen days... and I dont tend to have to many sexy days anymore... pretty much the mom thing is going on for right now.. thanks for responding.

I rotated my fiances clothes in our closet. He had the entire closet filled with his clothes and half of them he didn't ever wear. I had piles of clothes that my daughter no longer fits, so I bought six plastic totes, and filled them up with all the clothes she had that she didn't fit. Then I cleaned out that disaster closet, and put all of my fiances winter stuff, and clothes he doesn't wear in a tote. I still have to go through my clothes. I can't stand clutter, and I like going through clothes to see what I haven't worn in awhile.

I have just gone through my sons and my daughters clothes since we are having a yard sale come this may and I have been busy getting all the mom to mom stuff ready to get rid of from around here... it will be so nice to have it gone...LOL thanks for the response.

I try to rotate my clothes; but sometimes there are favorites that I tend to wear more often. Those that got lost at the bottom or back of a pile, are most probably those that I don't like very much.

I am usually better about rotating the clothes and wearing more of them, but it has been so cold this winter that I have been only wearing my sweats mostly and I havent been going out so I am not pulling from the back of piles ...LOL thanks for the response.
