Jane Austen has written several great novels, in my opinion. I was wondering if you had a favorite Jane Austen novel. If so, which one, and why? Or, if you had a least favorite Austen novel, and why?

Jane Austen's is whole collection is there with me thanks to my school award committee! I enjoyed reading Pride and Prejudice best and then Emma and the worst will be Mansfield Park.I was bored to sleep reading it.Pride and Prejudice was fun and Emma was witty.

I enjoyed Pride and Prejudice as well. It really was an enjoyable read. I haven't had the opportunity to read Emma or Mansfield Park yet, but I plan on reading her works.

I read a lot of books, but none that I would consider novels at least not recently. One of the best books I have read in recent years is actually a auto biography called Stolen Lives, it really affected and saddened me. Right now I am reading a book called Birthright by Nora Roberts, not a bad book, but certainly not a novel.

Well, I love everything by Jane Austen, but I have to say that Persuasion is one of my top favourites. I also love Northanger Abbey. I don't think there is a Jane Austen novel I dislike, but I think Pride and Prejudice has been somewhat overdone. I was in the library a while back and saw a modern version of something about Mr. Darcy's daughters. I was half-tempted to read it, but I am afraid I might be disappointed. It's someone who is not Jane Austen writing about Jane Austen's creation, so... I don't know. The original is always best. =) I will always have fond memories of getting some of her books from the Jane Austen Museum in Bath.
