How much do you want to be awarded the Best Response?

Is it your first priority for responding to discussions or is it just a bonus? Do you always strive to give the best reply to a discussion? Do you always make your explanations clear? Do you always go for the gold?

Meh. I've never really been into getting best responses; I don't think people should be motivated to respond to discussions only because they want a BR. Best responses seem a little like "popularity contests", don't they? And that's just a little too "High school" for me. . I'm motivated to respond to a discussion because I have an opinion about it or because I think it's an interesting question - not because I really want to get awarded as the best responder, you know? It just doesn't really matter to me.

Not really a popularity contest for me. The one who gets the best response is usually the one who gets to explain his side well or the one who got a very clever answer.

LOL..and you gave me best response! Thanks. I like how someone else put it; it's an "added bonus".

its just a bonus to me, I've never gotten it, I always try to give the best response every time i respond. Not so I can get the best response but I just see it pointless to respond and not give the person the best you have

It's there so we can use, so we might as well use it right? And besides, it feels great!

i don't even think about the best response, I respond to post where I either have something to say or get off my chest . Or I think I can help in some way. It is great to get a best response but isn't necessary.

I enjoy the interaction with my friends here in myLot. I love to respond to discussions that have subjects where I would like to express my opinion, or just "chit chat" . If I am given a best response, I really enjoy it, but it's not the reason why I respond. And no sometimes I don't make my explanations that clear. I let my fingers go ahead of my brain and usually only notice it after I posted LOL But I don't always go for the gold, I go for enjoying my time here more.

Hi, friend. Everytime I reply to any discussion here in mylot, I never expect any best response rating from the owner or creator of the discussion. Most often, I only reply to threads when the topic interests me or if I feel that I could share something in the forum/discussion. But like you said, gaining a best response merit serves as additional bonus for me. It's quite exhilarating, actually, when I finally realize that I have received best responses from several posts; though I really don't count them. Further, if I'm here solely or mainly for the best response merit, I shouldn't be writing this response anymore as I'm very sure that you wouldn't pick my reply since you have finally chosen somebody else for that merit yesterday or a while ago. Anyway, I absolutely love being here in mylot community. Just for information, I've been here for more than a couple of years now. It's a blessing for me and I'll try to be constantly here as long as computer usage and internet connection would permit me. Regards.

I am expecting a the discussion to clarify the way best repsonse is selected and the benefits out of it

the best response is selected by the one who started the discussion from the responese he have received. I don't really know the benefit of being selected as the best response but I think it has an effect to the star rating and leaderboard ranking. I don't think it has some benefits to the one who awarded it but it builds goodwill.

Getting a best response is nice, but it certainly isn't the most important thing to me. I'm here to share my thoughts, ideas, advice, and opinions with others. That is what keeps me coming back time and time again. Not getting best response for a response I gave. And not even for the money, though that is a nice little bonus. Honestly, I don't always strive to give my best reply. Sometimes I post in a rush, other times (and the majority of the time) I'm too tired. And with that my explanation isn't always as clear as it could be.

Nope, i dun go for best response.. I only care about how i care about the whole thing, and just wanna give my opinions in things.. Thus, sometimes, i ended up being sacarstic but i dun really mean it that way.. hehe ^_^ Best response is just a bonus to me, and what i think is the best might not be what the starter thinks or likes ^_^ Thus, instead leaving myself disappointed when i expect to get the pencil, i might as well not expect anything, but will still do my best in responding.. lol =D

I usually respond to a discussion if i am interested in the topic so therefore, responding to get a best response has never been the priority. Don't get me wrong. I always feel good about getting a best response but even if I don't get one for a response I made, it doesn't really bother me at all. Yes, it is a bonus.

No, I do not really concern myself with earning money on here. If I am answering just to earn money, I will not be answering with passion. I only reply to posts that mean something to me or if I feel that I need to make a point, like on here. I try my best to be honest, say it well (I do not like posts that are written poorly) and enjoy. If I get a BR for it, fine, if not, no skin off of my back!!!:D

To be honest, I never even think about the best response. I just respond with whatever comes into my head, no matter how strange that may be. If I get a best response, it's just a nice thing - but I don't ever go for it on purpose!

in my opinion you got the best response if you can get a proper answer to the discussions

Hoping for the best response can become my priority but the first priority I hope are I can share my opinion and helping other people in answering their problem. I always check my best response everyday to see that I get the BR or not. From there I can know that the members who make the discussion has read my discussion. Keep post Happy myLotting...

I try to put information into my reply and make it interesting ,I try to answer honestly and make my point clear if that earns me a best response then all the better but I don't set about getting one.

This is a great question,IMHO ^_^ I don't mind if my response or aswer is good, bad, short or long...i never mind if i'll get 1 or 2 cents or nothing for my response. I always try to give the best response. A good opinion or a "Hey,thank you!!" from an user doesn't have a price :)

I don't really think about the money when I'm responding to a discussion for some reason. I think maybe it's because I belong to so many forums that it has become automatic to respond to something I'm interested in.

I am not always sure if I post my ideas clear in any discussion that I participate to but, I just state what in my mind when talking about things that I could relate to. Not really aiming for the best response either. If the one who started the discussions awards me the best response, of course I'd be thankful. In fact, I still participate in discussions which already has a best response. As long as its interesting, why hold back my own point of view?

No, I don't set out to get best response. If something interests me and I feel like replying, then I will. That's all that really matters to me, just to be a part of the discussion. I've gotten several best responses and it's nice to get them but I don't make it a priority. I still respond to discussions when best response has already been given out.

It's a bonus for me when I get best response. I don't really bother much to read other people's respond on the topic which I am responding to. I would normally just read what the topic is about and what is post up by the starter and then I would go respond to it. If I get best response - great a bonus. If not I also won't bother I would just go on and on and on in myLot.

I always give my best every time I answered discussions because I want to share something, I want to share my opinion on a certain issue and I always make it a point that my ideas can be understood by any persons. I am not easily offended with other people's reaction I just keep my self under control and express my opinion. I already have 20 best response awards and I am very thankful to the members who choose my response as best, it is a great pleasure and a big bonus to my membership here.
