College can be fun

Well i wasn't expecting me to say that, and i wasn't expecting to think about this teacher - who seams rather boring if you meet him, but it looks like he made my dream come true... my own Disney firm - "VisulDisney" (in translation "DisneyDream"). Well i don't actually have this firm, but the assignment he gave us is going to last for about 1 month and a half (having a weekly update) and i have to invent (using my economic knowledge) my own firm, with the staff, to talk about what the company's objective and many more. So to make this a discussion, did you have fun in college (or in high school for those who didn't go to college) ? And i am referring to fun with a homework or a project, not with kicking your classmates behind or playing a practical joke on a teacher...

Yep, not only college but high school. Though I think anything can be fun as long as its spent with those people whom you get along with and doing activities that bring out the fun side of life. For you, it was an assignment but for us, its actually a requirement on one of our subject courses. We get to setup our own firm/company for real and try to get past a sales quota. It is hard and can get very difficult at times since we're dealing with real people, real money, real profit/loss, and real relationships but I gotta say that there are those times that at the end of the day you get that sense of accomplishment and a very rewarding feeling to see that what you have setup is maintaining itself. As for an answer in the context of your discussion, there is that one time in high school that the whole batch worked together to do some props for the 50th anniversary celebration of our high school. It was given to us as an assignment and there were different groups(painting, architecture, sculpting, lighting, etc.) I was part of the painting group and we had a blast looking for colors, working up the budget for it and just working together. Though, the best part of it is that the whole batch was allotted some few hours every week to gather at the gym and work on our respective projects. The whole batch are friends so we'd sometimes go over to other groups and help out, pass some snacks while working and just working while having great bonding moments.

doing our Documentary about Child Labor... it is not actually fun but more on the excitement of the idea that I will become and act as a reporter trying to uncover some truths about the said topic which makes this task exciting and fun for me. :)

Yup! i remember the fun,.. I managed to buy some fireworks with my boys friends and threw it into a class and run, but at my major, we have to have fun to design and when we stuck, we have to do something crazy to overcome the brain stuck. Once one of my friend climb the water tower and sing the national song for the whole Surabaya city! he is so funny! he is not just one moron, but if you seen his drawing and desing of a building, you will see that he is briliant! Sometimes i miss my crazy friends...

yes,my answer is yes. i have fun in my college because of the pressure i got in the college. i am challenging myself when i need to do something i never dare to.i also challenging myself on things i have never done before and things seem tough for me. but it can be fun because u never know what is the result and what will come next. i admire people who are very active in my college, coz chances gave to them ,and luckness follows them.if u don't brave to do anything that u'll never experience that kind of fun.so i think it will be fun to me coz i need to experience all of them...and hope the result comes great!

I'm probably the worst person to ask about having fun with school projects, because I practically never did any! School for me was a place I HAD to go to each day and all I did was play up from the moment I walked through the gates until the moment I walked back out again at the end of the day..... I did enjoy having to do monologues though and actually managed to force myself to present a couple of those! As for College etc, well I've never attended one, so there'll be no accounts from on on this front I'm afraid. Good luck with your project! It sounds perfect for you and I'm sure you're gonna absolutely nail it!

Yes college was a great fun for me.Not only hanging out with friends.Spending lots of time in the canteen.Making outing plans and many more things but also while completing assignments, surveying in a group, making projects, preparing chart. As i was a commerce studient there were not many such activities but whenever it came it was a good experience.College days were the best days of my life and i miss those days a lot til now and will always miss it.

That sounds like a very good teacher! I hope you have fun on your project, it sounds very interesting and it's a good teaching and learning tool. I didn't go to college long, it was in the early 70's at the end of the hippie era and I didn't want to be part of the "establishment". We are so foolish when we are young and I more foolish than most! College wasn't fun for me, it was very boring for the most part which was partly why I dropped out. I realize now that I should have asked for help choosing my courses but I was trying so hard to be independent.
