Taking care if the body starts with maintaining healthy lifestyle. Healthy lifestyle involves discipline in eating habits and drinking, taking in food supplements and working out or maintaining physical activities. You should avoid eating foods that will endanger your health status such as foods high in calories and cholesterol. You should start avoiding softdrinks for it has a very high calorie content. You should limit visiting fastfoods for foods in the fastfood are usually high in cholesterol. Stop taking hydrogenated fats such as one found in margarine and peanut butter. They will surely increase your cholesterol level in the body. Limit intake of fried foods, have them steam rather. Shift from meat-based diet to vegetable rich diet. Start to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Maintain at least to have five to seven servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Start taking in food supplements rich in vitamins and minerals. Take antioxidants. Vitamin C and E are good antioxidants. Antioxidants neutralizes free radicals that damage the cells in the body. Quit smoking, it is not good for the heart and lungs. Also start working out to be fit. You can start by taking a brisk walk for thirty minutes three times a week or start by doing aerobic exercises for thirty minutes three times a week. What can you say about this? How do you take care of your health?

Christine, you are right that we need to take care of our body and have listed many good things that we should do. However it seems with a very busy lifestyle sometimes it is hard to eat well and exercise as often as we should. I love fresh fruits and veggies and they are readily available to me, but sometimes it's easier and quicker to just grab something on the run. When I have time I try to eat right and exercise so that I will stay healthy.

Nice advices cristine. But fast-foods and soft drinks maybe bad for the health, but they are good for the soul. Lol, but that at the same time do not break yourself down from such. Everything require moderation, if you force yourself to give up something that you like and had been doing for awhile, you might feel depress. SO my advice is keep it in moderation. But nice advice though cristine..

Thanks for sharing this. This is very helpful for everybody. I take care of my body by not exceeding my calorie limit, and eating fresh fruits, raw vegetables, and fish. I don't eat junk food or fast food. I am a very active person, and I exercise everyday. Exercise regulates my body and keeps me happy. I think it is also important not to exercise too much because this may lead to fatigue or damage the muscles. I think moderation and balance is the key. Stress is also a factor why a lot of people develop diseases so I guess, we should not complicate our lives. When we have problems, it is a good idea to smile, or laugh at our troubles. It is always good to remember the best vitamins in the whole worls: Vitamin F & G or in other words, Faith in God! ^_^

Thanks for sharing your view, Christine. Yes, we all should be careful about our diet, so that we can lead a life full of health and fitness. Besides, we have to maintain a disciplined lifestyle, too. We need to sleep early at night and get up early in the morning. As we all know, early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. To rejuvenate your body and mind, you can try Yoga and Pranayam (controlled breathing exercise). It works, MIRACLE. Regards, SharonHill, http://aafter.com/

One site you would love = www.realage.com I am absolutley addicted to this site. You take a questionaire and it tells you what your real age is compared to your calendar age. It then gives you advice as to what to do to make yourself younger. It makes a lot of sense once you use the site. I am 24 years old and the site told me I was 32.1 years old. It made me very upset, but it listed things I should change in my diet and lifestyle. I have been following some of the suggestions and taking the test over again to see my progress. In the past month I went down to 30.1 years old, which made me happy. My goal is by my next birthday (in january) that my calendar age and real age match. I'd love to hear how you do on the site!
