After lunch, the stomache is taking away a lot of your blood to digest the food, especailly when you have a big lunch. You feel sleepy, when the brain is short of regular feed through blood circulation. After lunch ride or drive is special tiring for the same reason.

if the work is not so emergency you can take a 15 minites sleep.it is ok to drive away your sleepy.actually if you sleep too long, you would not get out of sleepy completely,i promise.

Hi, Nothing abnormal. After Lunch, there is a demand of blood more in digestion & metabolism of food taken. So relatively the brain gets less blood supply, that's reason one feels sleepy. Suggestion:-Take light lunch.Break into 2,if possibly.A heavy breakfast, instead. =Lahiri,Kolkata,India.

you feel sleepy because, when we have our meals(may be lunch, dinner) digestion starts in our stomach. So, at that time, blood circulation will be more to the stomach than to the brain. Because of less blood circulation to the brain, it doesn't be active. That is why we feel sleepy when we have our meals. Happy myLotting...

It is normal to feel sleepy after meals as the blood circulation will be more in stomach .However if it is abnormally more You have to review the ingredients and the quantity you are consuming. I used to feel sleeping after my breakfast and came out of it by changing the items I used to have in break fast. Also have a look at the room you are spending after lunch as there is a scope of feeling drowsy if there is no sufficient air circulation.

It depends a lot on what you eat for lunch. If you eat a turkey sandwich, you will definitely be tired. Some foods, like turkey, naturally make you sleepy. That's why people pass out on thanksgiving after eating! It has something to do with the natural chemicals in the meat itself. There are other foods that are scientifically proven to make you tired, but I don't know them off the top of my head. And, if you're getting stoned before you eat lunch, that will explain it too. Hope I helped out!
