Anyone besides me having problems here?

This discussion may get deleted because I'm not quite sure if it falls under any of the 'not allowed' discussions or not.
It's about this new 'Stimulus' thing here in myLot. I received an alert describing what this new thing is all about. I've even tried selecting one of the jobs and have written what they want written.
My problem is that when I click on the "accept this task" link, it brings me right back to the page that says "accept this task" and I am unable to post anything.
Is anyone else having this problem? Maybe it's too soon to try this? I think it's a terrific idea and an awesome way for myLot to help out it's members but if we can't perform the task because we can't post anything, how are we to handle this?
Have you tried and had the same problem? I just don't want to feel so alone!!!

Hi mentalwizard!
Seems there are still some glitches and they are sorting them.
Have you seen the discussion where myLot are responding to queries?

You know, I saw that link... way back before I tried to do a task. Then, I couldn't remember where I saw it! Thanks for the link!
I selected another task and was able to accept it and post. They're reviewing it now. I'll try going back to that task that I had so much trouble with because I've already written the 4 paragraphs, dang it! If I still am unable to accept that task, I'll write to myLot.
Thanks again for the link!!!

Hi MW, I have done one of the 'task' and it has been accepted, so haven't as yet had any problems with it. Do you accept the task first then write whatever cos when I finished it had in right hand corner at the bottom 'submit' or 'forfeit this task'? I just submitted mine and it was accepted....littleowl

Well, it figures that I'd select the ONE task that is having problems! LOL
I selected another task and was able to submit that with no problems. They're reviewing my submission right now. I might try going back to the original one since I've already written the 4 paragraphs... maybe NOW I can submit it!

Try checking your dashboard. Your submitted work will be reflected there. Once you press "accept task", it will really go back to the same page minus the work that you typed in the box. There's a small notice near the box that says something like you have accepted the task. If you didn't see your work, you may want to try change your browser.

I selected another 'task' and was able to post. Maybe it's just that one task that they're having problems with? Did you select the one about Westclox? That's the one I had trouble with. I had no problems with the second one.

That happened to me earlier today. I think what actually happened is that they got their quota on that one article - if you read the description - it says at the bottom how many submissions they want. The one I was submitting had reached it's quota while I was working on the article.

The one I selected still had two of eight openings, so that wasn't the issue. I wrote to myLot about it and they said they were aware of the problem and were working to correct it.
Unfortunately, they corrected it but, before I was able to post my article, it was gone.
At least I was able to select another task and all went well with that one. I guess I should stick to selecting tasks with more than eight articles wanted, huh? LOL

I do not have any problem with task. I had just done a task right now. It was the first time with the task. I think there is a time limit for the task. I had problem of getting some of the discussions getting deleted before. I think it was nothing to do with the task. I hope everything will be okay for you very soon.

I haven't tried it yet as the only task available at the moment requires you to download a tool bar and only pays 10 cents so I don't fancy that, when I see an opportunity I like I'll try it.
Could they be restricted by country perhaps and that's why you are having problems? Or maybe the number of people needed to complete the task had been found.

There is a quota on the number of people that can accept a job that is posted in the task list. Once that quota is met, you will not be able to accept that job anymore. You will then have to move on to the next task in the list.
As the task that you cannot accept is not expired yet, it will not be removed from the list till the time is up for it to expire.
It took me a while to figure that out.

Thanks, ahgong. After dozens of unsuccessful attempts at trying to apply for that one task, I finally wrote to myLot. They told me that they were having some problems and they would be fixed as soon as possible.
I was finally able to accept that task and submit my article AND it was accepted! I was sooooo happy!
But, now, it looks like the initial start was somewhat of a tease since the tasks are few and far between after that first day. Hopefully, they'll get everything worked out and running smoothly soon.

I was under the understanding (misunderstanding, possibly) that this had not been implemented yet, and that they would inform us of the start date! I am sure that you have had some better information than this, my dear! Cheers!

Nooooo...you are NOT "Heronymous Merkin" with a little black cloud hanging over his head. From all the posts that I am reading, there is a bunch of little glitches that need to be worked out! I think this is a little like a "Boxing Day Sale" or "Black Friday"....there was just such a feeding frenzy for the(and will be for the first little while)the system is probably overwhelmed! I am just one of those people and sit back, til the hoarding crowds have filled their troughs, and by then, usually all the glitches are worked out! Cheers! Love YA!

I received an alert from them. Maybe it takes them awhile to get to everyone. There is a "tasks" link above that should give you more info about this. I'm sure they have quite a few bugs yet to work out, or maybe it's just with the one I first selected.
But, I selected another one and was able to accept that task and submit it. I went back to the first one where I was having all the problems and I STILL can't 'accept' that task! It figures I'd choose the only one with issues! Story of my life.

i thought i was the only one having this problem when this first task was first or newly opened. too much excited but the bug i guess killed my enthusiasm. anyways, now i don't have that problem i can access the page to write my comment but there are not much task available now and also those task are not that easy to do. i prefer to do some article for some particular topics.

I'm thinking - was this the second "research a keyword" one that was posted yesterday? I think one of the tags was plumbing.
Several of us had that trouble, so you're not alone. I noticed there was only one place left when I tried to do it. I imagine that place got taken and for some reason it wasn't taken off the board. Maybe it only gets taken down when the task has been fully completed by all the submitters (in case anyone cancels)

No, the one I was referring to had to do with writing 4 paragraphs about a particular subject, in this case, Westclox pocket watches. Each time I refreshed the page where you can "accept this task", it would keep taking me back to that same page, saying that there were 2 openings left. I even logged off myLot and back on again, but the same thing happened.
Eventually, hours later, I was able to submit the paragraphs I had already written and it was accepted. As for them listing the number left under a specific task, they should completely remove them from the list of available tasks when enough people have accepted the task. If someone drops out, they can list one available.
But, having written to myLot about this and receiving a response, I know they were having many problems to work out when they first started. It's obvious that they're still having some problems since they either have no tasks available or very few available as compared to that first day, when they had dozen's available.
I hope it all gets straightened out because I really did enjoy the few tasks I was able to submit and get approved. I'd love to do more, like at least one a day.

Yes, it looked like a glitch to me as well. I'm glad you finally managed to submit your work. I didn't bother contacting admin as my task was only worth 10p, but when it's an article it's worth it. Good luck with your next one!
