Do you think this works, when a large group of people and put their minds towards sending healing thought or healing prayers? And do you think it makes any difference if it's prayers or just healing thoughts?

Hi savypat, This is something that I have been thinking about for a while now, as several groups have been involved in such things in recent years. I am convinced that a large group sending healing thoughts appears to help at least sometimes. Prayer and healing thoughts are the same thing for me. I am not talking about pleading with the creator of the universe, but affirmative prayer. It would be interesting if we could have thousands of people from all over the world join in a telecast and sends thoughts of peace to the Middle East, focusing on one particular area. It would certainly be a test to heal all the hatred and bitterness that that has existed there for so many years. I think that more and more people are becoming interested in this sort of thing and it could certainly do no harm, if some people are to be believed it could do much good. One thing to remember here is that we are all equal and the religion of those involved would not be a factor. No one would be excluded. Blessings.

I am a Christian, and I don't believe in the "power of prayer". I hope you read this further. I DO believe in the Power of God. I believe in the power of the one who hears my prayers. The Bible says that "the prayer of a Righteous man availeth much". But specifically the prayer is to God. Ultimately He makes the decision. Those are my beliefs. Good discussion question!

Thanks:) I can have all the positive thoughts I want. I can pray to a tree if I so choose but ultimately God holds the power. I choose to place my faith and direct my prayers to the One Who Holds Tomorrow!
