Is there really anything free? I go to several sites that say this or that free

After I get there and click on what I'd like to have most of them make me fill out what they call surveys. They are far from being "surveys". They want me to buy something or sign up for something that cost me. I just went through 7 or eight pages, I mean full pages of having to click no, no, no, and lots more no's on everything. I have these gimmicks that they use to get us to ask for a free sample of something. Does anyone know where anything is actually free, with no shipping charges?? Thank you for responding.

That's precisely why I don't do surveys anymore since there's always some kind of "catch"--either to subscribe to something, buy a trial offer, whatever. Also, you have to be careful about filling out surveys a lot of times especially if you need to add your phone number. One time I got very strange charges to my phone bill...it wasn't something I had asked for (some service company)--when I called my phone company and asked about it, they said no doubt I had filled out something (like a survey) and that company was charging me...I eventually got credited for the amount...so one has to be real careful. Also, sometimes too, there might be some product that one only has to pay for shipping and handling charges...baloney....I've read where once the company has your credit card number, bingo they keep charging you for the product and in full.

Hello pye, it's nice to see you. Yes, you are right. This is what I've ran into as well. I also go to the same one you do as well as others. I get samples to try and let them know what I think about the item I get paid for most of these. Thanks for responding dear.

One such company that promises you only pay shipping and handling and ends up charging you behind your back is for the Ultima Patch. A friend of mine decided to try the "Free trial," so she oculd lose some weight - BIG MISTAKE! They ended up charging her for the shipping of the "free trial," but also charged her for teh shipping of more patches, and more patches, etc. plus the cost of all the patches they kept shipping her! She was charged a total of almost two hundered dollars!!! her creidt card company kept telling her to call the merchant to have the mercahnt handle it, and of course the merchant was not going to back down. She ended up getting her money back, but not without a fight and struggle first. There is also a company that offers a "free" pair of panty hose. DO NOT fall for it, folks! They do the same exact thing!

Oh, I know how you feel. It is disheartening, is it not? However, I do know of one site that does issue something for free, and it is absolutely free, and if you are a diabetic, then it is really useful to you. It is a diabetic testingm eter, and I got one several months ago. You just fill out the form, answer a few questions, and you do not even have to pay for the shipping. You get the testing meter, 10 testing strips, and 10 lancets. Here is the link: https://www.onetouchgold.com/simplestart/?source=DRTV These meters sell for around sixty to ninety dollars each. So if you know anyone who is diabetic, tell them about this! Especially in this economy where people are having to choose between their health care and medicine or putting food on the table.

That is a good deal. I asked for one with someone I wanted to give it to my mother, she is diabetic. But they called me asking lots of questions, wanting me to order supplies from them and was a bit pushy when I told them I just wanted the "free meter and strips" for my mother. I finally let him send me his information because he said she wouldn't have a copay as they accept what her medicare.

That is so annoying, is it not? I hate when companies do that! However, when I filled all this out, I did not get spammed, and I did not get innundated with phone calls. I was simply sent my meter, testing strips and lancets - end of story. It came qucikly, too!

I love mylot and will spend as much time here as I can. There are things that I'm trying to get free or coupons to get free things or dollars off, since times are so hard right now and things cost so much I'm trying to get help when and where I can.

Hi moondancer - You are right, there are hundreds of sites out there that tell you something is free but, in actuality, you usually have to pay shipping charges and/or give out your credit card information because it is really a free trial for a certain amount of time and then they end up charging you an arm & a leg if you forget to cancel. Sometimes they even make it nearly impossible for you to cancel too. However, I have found a few really good sites that you can get free samples from and I never have to pay anything for them. I get free stuff in the mail several times a week! Usually stuff like deoderant, cereal, granola bars, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, shampoo, etc. The best ones I have found are listed below for you and everyone else to use... http://walmart.triaddigital.com/In-Stores-Now-Free-Samples.aspx http://www.bargainist.com/freebies/ http://www.startsampling.com/retail/kroger/ Happy free sampling & happy myLotting! I go to the walmart one. I don't ask for things unless we will use it or usually buy it. Thank you so much for the links to use. I appreciate them and you for taking time to include them for me.

Nope, It's all a big scam. Nothing in this world comes for free, my friend. You can learn that from me or you can learn the hard way. These websites will ask you, buy stuff and then you get other stuff which are free. If you do what they, you will be just another fool added to their list. They will send nothing, even if you do ask them what's going on, they will make up excuses, and since when did first buying stuff and then getting other free stuff come in category of "Free Stuff". Other sites will ask you for to complete survey's and collect point's, after collecting point's you can purchase stuff with those point's. But believe me, the stuff that you will will some how mysteriously disappear, other excuses like sir someone has already signed and received your stuff from your address would start coming up. So all in all ,it's better to utilize your time on website's like Mylot, Ciao and pickjack which will pay for your hard work rather go waste your time on free stuff which you will never get

Trust me I have been there and done that, I'm already on their list. I was suppose to get a computer, I did my part and then I called them because I never got the computer. They said they had such a high turn out that they ran out of computers. They didn't know when they would get anymore. That was a huge rip off. Many people did this one because I saw where they wrote to them asking for their computer. I get coupons for free things real size items. All it's costing is the ink to print the coupons, so that's not too bad...not with my new printer, the ink is cheaper than most.

I have been told by people you can get what they are offering but here is the catch 22 so to speak. You need to comply all the rules. YOu have to order this and that and I feel by the time you are done you could have brought the item yourself. I guess it depends on the item too. So read the fine print and than decide what would be worth it and what would not be. Take care and happy mylotting to you as well.

Welcome to the lot. I hope you like it here. I am just getting into trying these sites. It's a lot of work and time consuming.

Some are free and you just have to look around, but you have to start recognizing the ones that won't be. You can usually tell. Ones like you described will always want you to do something. It has just really taken me time to figure out what is good and not.
