so i bought some nice clothes for my job interviews and well with nice clothes means nice shoes, no tennis shoes. anyway i'm really not used to high heals. i wore them for an hour and i'm in so much pain. do you wear them even though they hurt you. i'm just wondering how many people live through the pain just to look good or have you found some that are comfterble

I cannot wear high heels I wish I could, my feet are wide so finding a pair that even fits is hard to do. I do like flats though. I have some nice flats on as we speak and I enjoy them very much so. If they made some really nice wide width high heels that were at a good price I would wear them, I guess. Nice discussion and happy mylotting to you.

i have wide feet to and that's why i can't wear skates so i was wondering if that's why high heels are so uncomfterble for me as well or if it's just all high heels are uncomfterble. hate having wide feet. it's really hard to find comfy shoes.

I have never found a pair of high heels that is comfortable. I do not even find flats to be comfortable, I like sneakers, I need the feel of something that molds to my feet. I feel your pain. Christmas 2007, my husband bought me a nice dress and heels to wear. The heels he got me are the most comfortable ones I have ever had but I must say, the pain is just under that of torture and if it was not for him and my son - stairs could not have been negotiated. Give my my sneaks anytime.

I wear what most people would consider to be high heels all the time to work. But I do not wear anything higher than 2 or 3 inches, higher than that and I can't even walk LOL The key is to find a good height and style you are comfortable in. That being said, the minute I get home the heels are the 1st thing to go! I can't believe I used to work in retail and wear heels all day long, I know I couldn't do that now. Now that fashion seems to be including many different heel styles and heights, it should be easy to find a good looking dress shoe that you can be comfortable in.

There are many nice high heeled shoes that wouldn't hurt your feet even if worn for a long period. The kind of heels do matter when choosing a high heeled shoe.

I don't wear high heels, but I do wear suits. I have been wearing a dress shirt and tie and dress shoes since I was in the kindergarten (private school), therefore, I'm very comfortable in them. Casually, I usually just wear anything that's lying around - I'm very messy. :)
