I was given a copy of the movie Australia yesterday so I sat down in my loungeroom all set up to sit and watch, as i find it very hard to just sit and watch a movie, well I must admit I enjoyed it very much and I only pause once for a cuppa..i was expecting to cry a lot as I was told it was very sad, well I thought I was doing well, I didn't cry during the first sad scenes but the ending got me, so I guess you could say happy tears in a way...a great movie...I loved it...

I love watching movies. I am hoping I will have time to go to the theater to see "The Ghost of Girlfriends Past." It looks like it will be funny from the trailers I have seen on TV. I have not seen Australia and I don't know anything about it. What is the story?

Its a movie that I think was made in a way to promote the outback of Australia with all the scenery and such but it is a love story of how an English girl comes to Australia to sell her property but the old story of the the rich land owners trying to take over the land by making it hard for the little owners and the English girl teams up with the stockman to bring a herd of cattle through the obstacles the bad people put in front of them...there is a little aboriginal boy in it that wins your heart right from the start...a box of tissues is required for this movie...but it is so good...

Hello my friend lilaclady Ji, Off course , I have never seen that movie, but after your views and discussion, I went over it's reviews : Here is one from : http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/australia/#contentReviews "Australia would love to be The African Queen, but is more The Australian Prince Charles: silly, longwinded, heart in the right place." May God bless You and have good day.

I watched this one on the telly. It's good to finally see an Australian film! I think we really need more of them, though I'm not sure if we can afford to make them like that anymore nor am I certain that Bazz has any money left anymore either. Well, there's reviews that go either way for this one, but so long as it's Aussie, I'll be watching!

I would so love to see the movie Australia...even American friends of mine have seen it. :( I don't go to the cinema...they are too far away and I don't rent movies either as they too are far away.I joined one of those online movie sites but they ripped me off so I'm a bit wary now. I mangae to buy movies at $2 and then watch them over and over.

How nice to have it given to you. I thoroughly enjoyed and told all my friends about it. Love the panoramic scenic aspect of it as well as the storyline. And, ofcourse the actors weren't hard to look at. I loved it too. One for the epic list I am thinking. That little boy was a cutie wasn't he? This year has been good for movies. The Brad Pitt one was good also.

I am less towards "crying" movies. I hate when I star crying. I only watch these movies to see if I can watch it without a single tears in my eyes. i would give a watch to this movie for sure. Thanks for the nice review.
