this week is march break for our daughters (12 and 15), i had the day off work (i work mon/wed/fri) so hubby took the day off and we went to an outlet mall. poor hubby had to endure a day of shopping! (although he did get some pants!) do you drag your s/o shopping with you when you go out? what have you done as a family lately?

I hate taking my husband shopping. He likes to go with me and actually begs me to take him. I don't like to take him because we always end up with a lot more than what we actually needed. I make a list and I tell him we are only going to buy the things on the list. It never works out that way though. I usually end up spending a lot more than what I had budgeted which screws up the budget for the whole month. I try to explain this to him but he just does not understand.

to be honest i much prefer to shop alone. i do not mind help when i get home with the bags and such but shopping is something i do much better when i am by myself. he buys things we do not even need and it is a waste of money.

I didn't when I was married it was no point. The only thing we did together was grocery shopping and we went with another couple. Anything else was useless, he wasn't much use and he wanted to get out of the shops very fast.

Our last family outing sure wasn't shopping! I don't know who would have been more miserable hubby, me or the kids. Probably me becasue I would have been the one listening to the complaining! LOL The last family outing we had was dinner. Both of my kids are grown now but even when they were smaller we didn't shop too much together (both boys) I've pretty much been a loner when it comes to shopping! LOL Now we occassionally stop by Wal Mart together and maybe spend 30 minutes in there but that's about the extent of our shopping!

My husband absolutely hates shopping. He doesn't like it when I try stuff on but in the end I wouldn't buy it. When he needs to shop for stuff, he'll grab the first thing he likes and pays for it immediately. What we do is I would leave him at a music or dvd store which he really like and he would just wait for me there. We like watching movies and concerts together, it's amazing how much our tastes are alike. We do everything together, that is except shopping.

not really... i am very fortunate to have a hubby who love shopping like me... but we usually only do window shopping... we don't really do lots of shopping except for grocery shopping... i am very careful in spending my money nowadays especially in a recession time like this... i only buy things that i really need... take care and have a nice day...

Normally I ask my husband if he wants to go and he does every once in a while. It depends on what we are shopping for. If I just need a few things from the grocery store he usually doesn't come with me. If I need to do a big grocery shop then he normally does go with me. To get clothing - he will go with me as long as I go when he is home. He wouldn't take off work to go. If he really wanted to go with we would schedule a time when he was home. Otherwise I get what we need. General shopping we both do. Run to the store for milk or pick up this or that. Who ever has time. As for the last family outing ... we went to dinner last night which was my husbands birthday and st. patricks day. We had a blast.

Most of the time, with my husband, it is the other way around! LOL! I usually know what to buy and takes me minutes to get them Hubby on the other hand, takes his pretty little time looking around, canvassing prices THEN getting what he wants. When he shops, we usually take the whole day. LOL!

I'm married to a rare breed, my husband actually likes to shop. He says he particularly likes to shop with me. I like to have him along because he finds good deals. The last thing we did together as a family was a trip to a local pizza parlor for dinner and then a walk around one of our favorite parts of town. We love our family time!

I sure as heck do! If I have to be tortured, so does he. Plus, he insists. He literally is so infatuated with me still that he wants to spend every moment with me he can. And he loves watching me not pay retail and grabbing great deals. LOL The only problem is this: If I say I want something, he will get it. Even if we ca not afford it. I really have to watch what I wish for!

I don't drag, he is willing to come shopping with me. However, he wouldn't take the day off of work to go. I would have to do it when he already has a day off. Otherwise I am on my own.

Yes, I drag my hubby along when shopping. He enjoys it also. It is just a time we can share the new products, new colors and new styles in market.

I would only drag him a long if we were shopping for something for him where he needed to be there or for something that we both want to get for the home. We want to get a new grill so we actually all went out on Saturday to look at grills. We had a nice time went to lots of stores, we found one we wanted but, it was at Cosco and they only take American Express and we don't have one of those and the bank was already closed so we could not take out money to buy it, so we didn't end up purchasing it. We are going to buy it this coming weekend. Other than things like that I would never bring my husband shopping with me.
