What Do You Feel Will Happen In 2012

I have been reading alot lately on the predictions of 2012. One of the most interesting things to research is the Mayan calendar if you have never seen it.One of the representations on there is a red dragon that in the end represents land meeting water. In most of the predictions I have read they say this. I think there is going to be a major shakeup and I worry about California and Florida. Also they talk of the Mississippi River coming out of the banks in a major flood that will take out midwest land. Many predictions are telling people to hone up on their survival skills because when the land becomes flooded it will wipe out vegetation which will in turn affect the animals. I do not believe that the world will come to an end but I do think when it is all said and done that we will never be the same again

Nobody really knows what can or will happen, but there are so many speculations about the possible end. Maybe we will have major cataclysm, or just minor floating. Mayans may or not be right about the end.

the same predictions are talking about year 2030-2050 and so on....the problem is that Mayans used different counting system, not Christian years, therefore interpretation is still very difficult...

It is not just the mayans, there are multiple predictions for the same event that are all the same

Yes, so the Mayan calendar runs out in 2012, then you are supposed to get a new one. I am looking at my calendar and it runs out in December, does that mean the world will end? No it means I need a new calendar.

I might add that the Mississippi river has been flooding its banks for as long as the river has been there. I have an old book about the river flooding in the 1800's before they had all those levies to hold it back and the author was going around in a boat and there were thousands of square miles flooded. It was awesome the scope of the flooding. Predicting flooding of the Mississippi is like predicting it is going to snow in winter. It is not a matter of if but when. The Americans are so foolish in that they build in known flood plains. Look at New Orleans, it is built below sea level in a hurricane prone area, such foolishness.

there are a lot of predictions about when the world will end and how it will end the bible also has prophecies about that so I think the most important is to be prepared because every living thing will die someday honing up survivality skills and keep in touch with our loved ones are important even if the world will not end shortly as for now surviving the crisis is already a good skill to have

Well, I do believe that somethings going to happen. You never know, the world could end. No one knows. I know I'm very scared though. I mean, I want to watch my daughter grow up and in 2012 she will only be 3 years old. But I guess all we can do is wait and see.

And learn survival skills because if the floods come they predict land could be wiped out and you will have to know how to feed that child if need be and to provide housing and basic needs..even if nothing happens like I said before it is always something nice to know

Wow, I have never seen a Mayan calendar. I do not know what will happen at that time. I do think that it is possible for something to happen. Just in case, I will try to remember to be prepared. I have always been good at adaptation, so if anything does happen and I live, I know that I will be able to adapt. I know people say just trust in God, and I believe in that whole-heartedly, but I can't help but think that there are clues out there that we should take heed to...I don't know what will happen, I just pray that I can make it through and survive so that the world can keep existing.

Strange enough, the Mayan calendar was able to predict with a lot o detail the arrival of the european conquistadores as white gods. now, based on what's been said, if they could predict with such a keen precision these events, then something big==not necessarily something like the end of the world== may happen at the end of their calendar. What this big thing could be I have no idea but I don't think is the end of the world as some hypothesize. Cheers

Hi summerfire, We are in a time of change but I agree with you, I don't think it means the end of the world. We may see the water rising in parts of the world, indeed that is happening now and may get worse. I think there are other changes coming too because the world cannot continue in the mad rush we see today. There is also so much greed, with some people with enough wealth for ten lifetimes and others without the basic necessities of life. Things may well get worse before they get better but if the world as we know it comes to an end any time soon it will be of our own making. Blessings.

I am no expert but believe that the Mayan calender just restarts in 2012 as it works on cycle, there was no mention of the end of the world. The fact is that there will be natural disasters in 2012, just as there will be in every other year, California may be overdue for some sort of natural disaster but a lot of teh state does lie on a fault line so would be no big surpris, and major rivers flood periodically, so again would be no surprise if the Mississippi had a major flood. All in all though there is nothing to worry about mankind has survived in the past and will in the future.

Not sure on the Mayan calendar as I have not studied alot but it is my understanding that it ended on the time period of 2012 but they do not know if it because they had no concept of time beyond or what. I agree with you about California being a fault line and with the a world shift do to the planets aligning I am afraid of what that shift could do to them

Good day... Predictions are just predictions until they come true then again if it does what can a person do? I mean if the world was meant to end in some point in time can we do something about it? The world, our sun will end as our individual lives also will, I mean people die everyday some are expected while others weren't. Maybe this is how God intended it to be to, remind us all that we live in borrowed time. I guess there's really nothing we can do for our own borrowed time much less for our world borrowed time except to live happily and try to be righteous towards other people. Live our lives as meaningfully as we can.

personally I think its a load of rubbish if am honest, people have been predicting the end of the world and disasters since the year dot. yes the earth is changing but so are we as humans its evolution, am sure the same thing will happen as was predicted to happen in 2000 nothing what so ever. And in 2012 people will be predicting things happening in 2024 etc etc, If you honestly think something is going to happen in 2012 then enjoy the little time you have left but to be honest as I said before people have been predicting end of the world and massive changes since I can remember and so far nothings happened. Just my 2 pence worth happy mylotting.

I don't think it will be the end of the world persay as we all go bye bye and never come back. I think if the alignments occur as they predict we will have some major land shifting and what becomes of that is unknown

I don't think there will be changes in 2012. I heard the same thing when we were in 1999 a few months before 2000. Nothing happened.

I agree with you. I remember how many were fearing the new Millennium and a lot of people were claiming how the world was going to end and how our system was going to fall apart because of a computer glitch..LOL..People can speculate all they want about what exactly the Mayan calender means. Maybe something will happen, maybe not. But I'm not holding my breath .

Ive seen some videos on youtube about the 2012 "doomsday" that they say. Experts keep saying its the end of the world.. They're making videos that looks like real and keep us wondering. Well, whatever happens, we have no choice but to face it, and Run!!!!!!!!

In my opinion does not necessarily predict will happen,or it will be the truth. But from anothet angle,I think that the prediction should be based on the reality, such as the climate problem, which has performanec in a lot of film.In this way, prediction can guide people to think in real life and choice some countermeasures.which are meaningful to humans!

I think 2012 is to soon for any of the predictions people have been talking about. I think some day, something will happen, but I think we have many, many YEARS to come... People thought the world was ending in 2000.... nothing happened... maybe we are all just scared & we keep making these predictions out of fear? I guess all we can do is play it by ear...

Hi summerfire I have only just started studying the Mayan Calendar, and do beleive their is going to be a really big shake up in more ways than one that year...I don't beleive it will be the end of the world but it will be the beginning of a new life in a way we have never experienced. I also beleive that there will be a great spiritual awakening and ESP, Telepathy etc will come to the fore and will be used in every day life...it is a fascinating subject and one to be excited about especially as it is only 3yrs away and we have to prepare ourselves in all ways spiritually and how to survive if things like this are to come about..it is a scientific fact that the USA will become Islands and the UK is going to lose London and a lot of other places so there is going to be a big flood at some point...bb littleowl

That means mayan calender proving its self it is correct. if it is not happend we are no need to believe like that calenders. haha
