What a lovely day

As some of you know it was my youngest son's 4th birthday today and what a day he, me and his brother's had!! First my youngest gets woken by his older brothers, dying to give him their gifts and there is much noise and hilarity as they play together with the power rangers. We then go downstairs and he has more gifts to open during breakfast then it is off to school where he is given some small but very appreciated presents from some unexpected people which was really nice. I picked him up early afternoon and took him home where he got excited again by the presents the postman had brought. Then it was off to pick up his brothers from school, down to the indoor play area, where they had the entire place to themselves, then to MacDonalds and home for a chorus of happy birthday over a 4 candle lit birthday cake! It really was a full and fun day for us all. When did you last have a fun filled day? What did you get up to?

I am glad your youngster had a good day at his b-day. Personally I don't even remember the last fun filled day I've had lately I've been really busy with work, which made me exhausted and snappy all the time, hopefully it will end soon, so I could have some good time. Happy mylotting

Today is one of my busiest day. I woke up early grooming my dog. Than drove my son to a sports comples where he practise all sorts of sport. Came home cooking and I still have to take care of my dog before going to the dog show.... I would have appreciated some help but I cannot complain.... Iam glad your son had a good day on his bday.

A lovely day for me is a day in which I believe I achieved something. Today can be such a day since I'm now well into revising my TV play and did some real charity work downtown helping out a friend of mine who sells newspapers. Days like this I value a great deal and, I might add, they don't come too often. Happy to hear about your son.

Hi Humbug. I'm happy that you and your family had a wonderful time. I wish your son a belated happy birthday! As for your question, my family and I had so much fun yesterday. We spent the whole day together goofing around, playing video games and watching dvd's. We didn't get to go anywhere because it was so hot and humid outside (it's already summertime in my area)but it's still so much fun. Thanks. Happy mylotting!

Thank you for sharing my dear friend, I am sure he had a wonderful birthday and will be talking about it for months to come! It's wonderful at that age isn't it! I hope you took some photos so you have them to treasure for years to come, so you can look back with fondness and certainly your son will appreciate them when he much older of course! You've had two of your sons birthday, then you have one more left LOL! It's all go go go, no wonder you don't have much time on your hands, there isn't much time in the day is there, I mean 24 hours is never enough. The last time I had a fun filled day? Well that was so long ago I forgotten! Well the closest I got was going to the gym training which I enjoy doing and going out in the evening and having a few admirers, I say no more ;0) but it was enough to put a big grin on Wolfie's face!

Hi wolfie34 Well I did take a few pictures of him blowing his candles out but that was about it. You're right, I do have one more to go this year and that will be in May so I have a bit of time to get over the last one before I start thinking about that! Phew! I still have a Christening, Wedding and my brother's birthday to get through before then not to forget an operation for my middle son and a hospital appointment for myself to get through before the next birthday too!! Oh lets not forget Easter in there somewhere hahahaha Cheers wolfie and watch out for those admirers!

Hi Humbug. what a lovely day it was. We did also celebrate my birthday last January 15 together with my mom, my dad, my older brother, and of course my dog. I felt very happy they gave me simple gifts and i really appreciate it. With two candles blown we started to enjoy the meal. At a sudden, my dog went closer to me and I was surprised that he has something in his little basket. It was a little box and It says: happy b-day to my beloved bestfriend. Then i opened it up and surprisingly it was bone keychain gift. That was really surprising and made my birthday a very wonderful day. I love my family. :-) have a beautiful day ahead.

Hiya Humbug, I just loved reading your discussion, it took me right back to when my own children were that age, how I do miss them been little, especially has my youngest just started to walk to school alone this week, I've given him a mobile so I ring him to check he's arrived safely and he hands it over to the teacher to look after but you must of loved today, make the most of it, they soon grow and don't wish to be seen with their mum, that's how mine are now but I'm told that passes and they do turn lovely again..lol I can't remember the last day we had altogether so we are long over due one. I just keep remembering my youngest sons 3rd birthday we had a very similar day to your little ones birthday, we went mcdonalds for a birthday party and all my family and my sons friends were there including my late sister, so bless you for reminding me of that day.

Well, sounds so much fun for you and your family. Happy birthday to your son by the way. My last fun filled day will be going to Florida with my friend. We spend about a week over there. We were so indulged ourselves to do anything that week. But that is the best time I can remember.

We all went out to a commercialized Irish Pub for St. Patrick's Day. There was clogging and good Irish music. The food was good. We had to yell above the music but it was nice because we couldn't hear each other anyway. All in all there were smiles, good food, and music. I loved it.
