Hi everyone. I'm looking to replace my monitor and I'm looking to purchase a "19 LCD monitor. Does anyone here know what will be the best brand for this type of upgrade and where could I purchase this type of monitor. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

You should probably stick to the major brands. I cannot recommend one brand over another. I would suggest a visit to the Best Buy or Futureshop or whatever where they have a display of the monitors and you can compare them. You will see differences you may or may not want. I just upgraded from my 19 inch (not wide screen) to a 22 inch wide screen model. It was a Dell and I have not had a chance to plug it in. It was on sale for a 100$ off so I figured it was the same price as a 19 inch model. I have a second computer so I can use the second monitor still.

Personally I recommend samsung. You can get some information of its products from the company's website.

Usually, I would like to shop around either on Best Buy, or Microcenter, and my favorite resort is to dell.com. If I won't find a good price from Best buy, or Microcenter, I definitely go for dell. Someone said Sony brand is the best. You might check it out.
