How often do you buy shoes for yourself?

When I was younger and single I was always buying shoes for myself. They were never expensive shoes but I just liked to have some variety. Now that I'm married with children I pretty much live in sneakers. I probably go through one or two pairs a year since I buy the cheap kind. How often do you buy shoes for yourself?

I actually lucked out on pairs of shoes this year and last year. Last year someone gave me a bag full of brand new looking shoes, and this past Christmas I got a pair of shoes. I will probably buy another pair plus some flip flops this summer. I usually buy around one to two pairs of tennis shoes, and cheap flip flops every year. There is this shoe store near me called Twenty dollar shoe outlet, and they brand name shoes for only $20. My fiance and I are going to go there this summer, and get us each a couple pairs of shoes.

I'm still young and single and I do not buy them like I used to. Now I just make sure I always have a pair of my black boots and sneakers. I still every once in awhile shop around for heels, but that was more my thing when I lived up north. Not in the south. Weird. Now it's boots, tennis shoes and flip flops.

I only buy new shoes for myself about once every year. That is tennis shoes. I the summer time I will buy myself a few pairs of those cheap $1 Flip Flops to wear when it is hot out.

That's what I buy the tennis shoes. They make my feet look smaller.

I rarely ever buy shoes for myself. Ive been looking for some new flats tho and ive been thinking about hitting up a payless this weekend to get new brown and white flats as i need them really bad. Im not to big on buying new shoes all the time, as my old ones are just fin since i have alot of shoes i dont wear the same pair everyday, so i wouldnt have to buy a new pair. Now my boyfriend on the other hand wears sneakers and flip flops the most and he needs new ones of those every year and ive been thinking that his birthday is coming up so maybe i should order him anew pair of flip flops. I cant seem to find his size (14) in the stores somuch so ordering them are easier then going hunting around for them.

It kind of depends how many times a year I buy shoes. I will be soon living in my own appartment, which results in less extra cash for new clothing and shoes. If I consider the shoes I use for work and not the occaisional extra pair of shoes for fancy dressing or sports than 1 or 2 pairs a year sounds about right. I do buy 2 or 3 pair of slippers/summer shoes every year. Somehow I seem to mess those up pretty fast.

I hardly ever buy anything for myself. I always go with the intention to do so but then think oh..my daughter needs this..or oh..she really needs that. I always end up buying things I feel like my girls need more. I'm a lot easier on shoes than they are so mine last a lot longer anyway.

When I was in studying in college. My friend and I promised ourselves that we are going to buy shoes that we want when we have our job. And that's not happening. lol. I only buy shoes if the other has signs that it will be useless after one week. Having two to three pairs would be fine.

I have huge feet, so it's very hard to find shoes. In addition, my feet tends to blister easily. Therefore, I usually wait till the soles of my shoes wear out before buying a new pair. At all times, I usually have 2 pairs. One pair for casual outings, and another for work.

I usually buy 2-3 pairs of shoes every year. I don't buy them because I want them, but because I need them. So whenever one pair is ready for the garbage, I'm off to look for a new pair! My last purchase was a pair of Pumas, for about $40 if I remember correctly. Not a bad price at all for the quality that I got.

Since i've got married,i only bought one pair. Now i like to walk on foot,so i wear high-heeled shoes rarely.I don't want to buy anything useless in order to save money. The shoes i bought before are very durable,i decided to buy new ones after they are worn out. I guess i'll become more economical if we have a baby haha:)

Before when I was unmarried I use to spend a lot on my clothing, shoes, perfumes, watches and other things but now as I am married I have many responsibilities and so I buy shoes just twice in a year but of good brand as I don't want to make more purchases on these one's getting spoiled. I handle my everything with care now and keeping them safe is my wife's duty.

Im not really into footwear. I buy shoes or sandals if I need to or I spotted a nice pair. If I buy a shoes that I am comfortable with and look nice on me, that will really last so long. I have few pairs of footwear for that matter, mostly those are my favorites. The least favorites footwear, I either gave it or stocked in the corner and forgot about it.

Hi there Shar19 I have never really thought about how many shoes I buy but I am like you, I live in the pretty much the same shoes or sneakers until they are beyond wearing or they walk out by themselves! LOL . I guess I must buy a couple of pairs or so a year as I too buy cheap shoes!

I dont buy shoes like I use to, like you I am now a mom of 2 kids that are 5 and under, and I also live in my sneakers during the winter and my flip flops during the summer... I would say I go through a pair of sneakers a year, or two... and my flip flops, I get a new pair every year so they tend to last longer when I wear them with matching outfits... so I have about 3 pair of flip flops now, and the cheap sneakers from kmart....LOL nothing to exciting for me right now!!

Once I bought 6 pairs of shoes in a shoe. The lady was elated and we talked for a long time. I spent about $800 after heavy discount. The shoes lasted for more than 3 years. All were very good leather shoes. Since then I bought a pair or 2 in a year. If I buy those cheaper shoes, they won't last long and are not as comfortable as good leather shoes, and I have to keep buying.
