Did anyone said rumors about you?

It did happen to me and the feeling was so shocking.As some of you may know already that my profession is in teaching, it is my goal to start my teaching career this coming school year.I applied to a private school near our place and all the faculties seems to be accommodating. They even chose me to be a representative of one of the Board of Judges for their upcoming Foundation Day.So, I was there participating in the event. The school was crowded with so many people that day.After that, the principal just told me that they will tell me when will be my demonstration teaching for their school after the exam of students the next week.
After a couple of weeks,I decided to visit the school to follow up my schedule for demonstration teaching so I can prepare early. After the principal told me when is the date, she asked me something which made me surprised. There is someone who told here that I am saying something bad about their school. I don't know what to feel because I honestly not doing it. I want to laugh with the silly statement and somehow got angry.I opened up my feelings with my school mate before and he told me to be careful on people around me. I told him that what the principal learned about me is not true for so many reasons. First of all, the only experience I have in teaching is my Student Teaching when I was in college, so I not have still enough background on the ins and out of school. Secondly, why will I said something bad about the school where I am applying. And lastly, how can I communicate much with people if I spend most of my day, inside our house to do my online job.
I really got frustrated and upset with what I learned. Mylotters, were you placed in same situation before where someone is saying bad things on you?What did you do on that certain situation?

Hello annierose! It's so sad to hear your story.
I wonder who the person who got jealous to you and so in order for you not to get the job she/he tried to ruin your reputation and your chance of getting hired by going to the principal and said some false things.
It happened to me too but it's not as sad as you do..hehehe..I even thought it's a blessing in disguise..Someone courted me and I don't like him. He's my neigbor in our hometown. Since highschool he courted me. He always texted me night and dayd and I always told him that I am not ready yet. He said he is willing to wait. Until one day, he stopped texting me. I wonder why but it's ok. When I went home to our hometown, I talked to my highschool friends and she told me that she told him one time that I said "he is ugly" So that's the reason why he stopped..hehehe..It's ok, no big deal to me.

hahahaa..I am glad that I gave you an idea annie..but don't tell him face to face or throug text message..just let someone tells him that he is ugly (although he's not) so that the impact would not be so bad..lol

Oh, I think I cannot say it to him face to face. Maybe if my some of my friends are so naughty just like what you mentioned, then maybe that could stop him from courting me.
I will have my demo teaching by Monday on their school and I will really do my best to get the job. The principal there is kind and I hope that she will like me.

I got an idea with what you said.hahahaha. You made me smile. I have also a suitor who is courting me for so many years and I do not know what to do for him to stop. I guess, I tried everything except telling him he is ugly.But, honestly, he is not. And as of now, I am just ignoring him and not speak even a word to him so somehow he will give up.
Thanks for your sympathy about what happened to me.I hope that the principal will not believe that easily and will balance things before making decisions because I can say I am really honest and I have clear conscience with all of this.

I was also rumored before,its really sad, being victimized?I just don't wanna talk about it.But I was,its really hard,especially if your friends confronted you and when you explain, they don't believe a thing.

I understand you because I am in same situation too and I feel so really down. I really want to have my first teaching job there and so sad that even if I am not yet starting with that school, there is already rumors about me. And worse, I don't know what the principal feels about me because of that

Yes once I caught someone saying rumors about me. It was time when my marriage was going to get fixed and a friend of mine with whom a had a big argument few days before that. That person knew that girl's family members. I had met that girl before on internet and we both use to like each other. My friend to take revenge went to that girl's brother and said to him that I know this guy, he is a big flirt. He is having many girlfriends and so on. The girl's brother with his family came to my place and fought with my family as engagement date was near and they broke up this relation and went away. Luckily the girl knew me and I had told her about the fight with my friend and she cleared the matter to her family. They apologized to it and now that girl is my wife and we are happily married.

Hello there Annierose, it was a bad experience on your part to have that bad rumor spread and caused you your opportunity to work. If that will be the environment that you are going to work with, will you be happy?
I mean, you haven't started yet, but someone is already trying to destroy your reputation. Anyway, i haven't got any intriguing rumor happened to me. It was just a simple neighbor rumor about why i get so late to go home from my work and practice.
She didn't know that after office hours, i go straight to our church for practice. As part of the P.A. (Performing Arts) we do have such a long tedious practice and this makes me go home sometimes 1am. This lady neighbor tried to spread some lies about what i am doing. But i shrug it off, didn't mind it at all because most people in our community knows me well.

I don't know if I can be happy with that kind of environment with such intriguing peoples around me. I don't have any idea who can did someone like than on me.Well, I am thinking that I will just do my best and not got intimate so much with people around me. Is that right?
As what happened to you, maybe your neighborhood is just jealous with you. I do not really know why there are people like that. I hope one day, they will realize that they are doing wrong with other people they are creating bad stories with.

Of course people have told rumors about me. Rumors and even Vicious lies. I went to public high school....lol. That should be the only explanation needed. Highschool kids can be mean and vicious. And, I can't honestly say that back in that time period I didn't spread rumors about others. Because thats what highschool is....the rumor mill.

There was a girl I worked with who liked to cause trouble. As soon as she started working with us she got our boss fired. Then she told a lie and got another employee fired. She and I were friends for awhile but she couldn't stand that I was friends with the new boss so she started telling lies to each of us to drive us apart. That isn't the worst part though. She got her stomach stapled and lost a lot of weight and left her husband. She quit working there and went somewhere else. Six months later out of the blue she calls in to talk to one of the girls that works there. I had not seen her since I had quit a little before she did. She calls in and tells them that I called her ex husband and told him I had a crush on him and that I wanted to stay with him for awhile because my husband and I were having trouble and I didn't know if he was the father of my baby. I was so in shock. I hadn't seen her in so long and didn't give her any reason to say that about me. I'm just thankful that my husband didn't believe a word of it. I couldn't believe anyone could start such a rumor that could destroy someones marriage. I just ignored it because everyone knew it wasn't true. There isn't much more you can do then say you didn't do it and hope that they believe you. I hope it all works out for you.

Thank you for comprehending my situation.Well, if I think that if we prove to other people that we are good, then rumors cannot be easily proven true, because people know that we are naturally good.

hmmm even i was been rumored...but ma situation is different ...it happened wen i came outta ma college...as soon as came out i got placed in HCL i got a new frends he's so good... suddenly one day one of ma classmate met him and told him tat "she's a gal who always gossip abt others n she used to say storys to all boys n create a sympothy on her side so dont believe her in amy ways ...moreover she's a liar she's job less "....... ma frend was really upset n he called me n ask'd me abt this ..i felt like crying at tat time n i explained him abt me ..then v both wen n met her n blasted her nicely ...tat was really a bad experience in ma life..

A rumour about me has spread out recently in my college, as if i have a love affair with the next class girl. All next class guys have started to ask me about this, i'm in an unexplainable state. I think every thing will become good after this week.

So good if you are not experiencing it until now but we never can tell. Just like what happened to me. I thought, I see people smiling at me and in my mind I think that I am fine with them but look at the results. I can say people has so many faces.
