if given a chance, why would you want to be a millionaire?

I know all of us here are trying to at least get some extra income. But if you'll be given a chance to be a millionaire, why would you want to be one? Personally, I've always and I still have this dream of having my own Foundation for kids. I believe that having a lot of money is useless if you don't have this good mission that you want to fulfill. How about you, what's your ultimate reason beyond money that you are really pursuing right now, that if you'll be given a chance to be a millionaire, you'll gladly take it to make that dream come true?

I would pay off my family's and friend's major debts, finish projects on my home (no, I would not move into a bigger home), go on vacation, a lot, give more to my charities, and start a dance school for poor kids.

I want to be a millionaire because i want to help people mostly the poor. i want to give them sufficient money to have their own business to run to support their daily financial needs. i hate those millionaires that no other means in life but to have luxury and never think others that have no eat because of their situation. if you are given a chance, you want being greedy and buy all you want, eat all you want, date all you want someday you die without any penny to bring?

I could really make use of a million dollars. It would help us be secure through retirement. I also would love to help my children get out of debt. My daughter is a single Mom with 4 children and she does have a tough time. She never asks for help, but I'd love to be able to help her more than we have. I'd also give more money to my church to help with projects we need finished there.

Hello maiyhenzkee! Honestly, I never really dream to become a millionaire someday. I mean, I dream to have many money but not as rich as millionaires because I know the responsilbilities of being like that. If given a chance, I would want to be a millionaire to be able to make my family happy and to help those in need. That's what makes me happy actually. I don't really want to see other people suffering and that they were not able to eat for one day because they can't afford it.

Kids are definitely worth it! I think that is a great dream you have. As for me, right now, I am trying to get out of debt. When I become a millionaire, the first thing I would want to do is donate to my church, then pay off my debt, then give 300 K to each family member to pay off their debt. Then hope everyone pays it forward! Please note I would need more than one million to ackomplish the above :-)

Lets see, a part of me says screw it I don't ever want the kind of responsibility that comes with that much money. BUT, I've always wanted to open a home for young mothers, someplace where they could get help to finish school, find a job and place to live, counseling, daycare, you name it. So yeah I'd take it.

I would love to be a millionaire. Maybe if I were rich I could do more for my autistic son and afford to buy a hamburger now and then. It is hard to be poor in this world.

If this came my way I have a plan, I would build a retreat where anyone could come for peace and good will. I am aware that you cannot make something like that to available but if I could do it, the directions would come along with the resources.

Right now, I'm struggling with money so I would want to be a millionaire is because I want to pay off all the debts and become more flexible with the money so I don't need to feel stressed under the lack of money all the time. My ultimate reason would be for my family, I want to provide them all good things and so they don't need to struggle with money usage either.

Well, my main reason would be so that I would be secure, and I could support my friends and family who are struggling right now in this economy. Though, if I was a millionaire, you can bet I'd have a couple scholarship foundations and would donate on a regular basis to a multitude of charities.

The reason why I want to be a millionaire are as folowings. First i wanna bought a comfortable house for my mum.My father went away sevearal years before. He left us a big house. My mum sold it because we need money for living and for my study. Now my mum and my sisters rent a house. And that was very inconvinrent. So i have determind my mind to bought one house for them. Second i wanna to rent a apartment for myself in this city. And then i can use the money to travel around the world. It is my dream since i was young.

I would never dream of wanting to be a millionaire, but if I found myself in that position I wouldn't fight it. I would probably start a personal care home for the elderly and disabled. I have a heart for old people. If they had insurance, or Medicaid I would take it for payment, but I would not take anything extra out of them. I'd like it to be a sort of nursing home but one that does not rob them blind. As it is when a person is in a nursing home they only get $35 back from their social security checks.. the rest goes to pay what Medicaid and Medicare doesn't pay... that's the way it was when my dad was in a nursing home.

Of course I would love to be a millionaire! I would help my mother, my sisters and my family with all of their bills. I would take my family on family vacations regularly. I like the idea of starting a foundation, but to be honest, I never would have come up with that one on my own. I would just love the feeling of being able to live day by day without thinking about paying bills!

I really haven't thought about starting a foundation if I had the money. It would probably have something to do with children and sports.

Yeah, bills are such killers! lol! What kind of foundation would you like to have? For children, adults, etc? Where would you like to have it?

My one thing I would want to do if i had enough money for it is I would buy alot of single wide or double wide trailers. I would place them on lots. I would then rent them out to families with low income. It would be reasonable low cost rent. It would include utilities also.

Hmmm... I'm not quite sure jessi, but are those trailers that you're talking about are the houses that you can move from one place to another?

Hmmm.. I think those kids probably don't have reasons beyond money that's why they act the way they do and you see them like that. I honestly used to hate rich people, cause when I was a kid I usually see in the movies rich people killing people or being rude because of money. But when I grew up, these thought have changed, I have read about rich people who are doing good things to other people. From that time on, I decided to yeah, I would want to be a millionaire if I could or if I will be given a chance, but I want to be a millionaire not to be bad, but to be a better person to other people. So I guess, it really depends on the "ultimate goal" of a person whether he or she will be good or bad whether he/she becomes a millionaire or not in the future. So don't mind those rich worst kids, you can still want to be a millionaire and not be "worst" like them. Thanks for the thought bdhsyear... =)

Yes I would love to be a millionaire because for the main reason is for security. Not only would I have security but my family also. My children, grand kids, my favorite aunt, my daddy, brothers & my niece would never have to worry about their bills ever again. I love my family & blood is blood. Some people might think I am old fashioned but my mom & grandma always told me your blood comes first. Your family is your life line & your inheritance.

If I were by some miracle of God to become a millionaire, I would like to start a foundation for the homeless. I want to help them either find a job or start their own business. I want to make sure the children have the schooling and health care (including vision and dental) that they need. I want to make sure everyone has a place to live, not see them freezing through the winter and sweating through the summer. I would like to buy a hotel and set it up as a shelter for the homeless, and maybe a restaurant and turn it into a kind of soup kitchen. My brother and I have actually been trying to do this, but it's been really hard to find the funding. We had a lady that was supposed to help us get grants, but that fell through. We're at a stand-still right now, because we can't do anything without some sort of funding for it.

I love your idea about the homeless and the hotel. The sad thing is in America the government could do this as well. And let the homeless work there to earn a keep. I would love to do this too. Sad thing in life is when there is people in the world that want to do good is held back because of money this is very sad. Sometimes I think that is why I am not rich is because I would help mankind. God Bless you.

Yeah, I liked your idea of buying a hotel as a shelter for the homeless, but I do agree with Cjforeverknight, America really has a program for these people, but still, there's a lot of people out in the street begging for money. I think, they've been spoiled so much with all the free stuffs to the point that they don't exert that much effort anymore to do something to help themselves. But still, that's a good idea. Thanks for your thought Boofybutt! :)

Thank you and God Bless You Too. I'm still going to pray and hold out hope, that someday, God willing, we will be able to help the people who really need it, not just the people who already have jobs and money.
