I'm a newbie to Ebay,I want to make it as my full time job(due to the reason just gotten laid off)I'm gonna invest USD$1000 on selling sneakers and stuff.I know some ppl do make money from selling on ebay, but I heard too many times that ppl say ebay is a ripoff. Can you tell me your expericence with ebay, and do u make money or hardly make a living from it?

Hi, I am planning to start selling on ebay too but I still cannot make up my mind. I always think of the problems of shipping and I do not have products to sell. It is a hard decision for me. Personally, people in my country seldom buy stuff online. So, if I am going to start selling on ebay, I need to sell to international members which is a problem for me because of shipping fees and so on. So, I hesitated to start selling on ebay. I need to find out the shipping fees and what products to sell.

I am fairly new to ebay as well, but am making extra money--- not paying the bills-- but extra money. There are fees with ebay and paypal that need to be considered when setting a price. Like any business, it's only going to work if you make it work. What I mean by this, do your research before jumping in and investing money. If you just got laid off, that $1,000 may be what you need to pay your bills next month. I would look around your house and see what you have to sell. You would be amazed at what people will buy. You can set up an account with ebay without starting up an ebay store. That can wait until you are selling 25 or more items a month. There's is no need in paying a monthly fee, until you know you can sell items. I can't say it enough, do your research before you invest in a product. You want to sell sneakers, Have you searched the completed listings on ebay to see what sneakers are selling and for how much? Depending on what you have to pay for them, is it going to be profitable for you to beat the prices on ebay? If you are drop shipping, how much do you know about the company. Are they the actual manufacture or are they another middle man which makes your price even higher. Good luck to you!

I've tried selling on ebay a few times. I was not able to sell anything. My brother in law sold many things on ebay for big profits. I think you have to know what you are doing in order to do that though. I think there are many things you can sell and make a profit on, you just need to follow what other people have done to make money.

Selling in Ebay may be a good business I tried several times however I didn't earn a lot, since postage costs are high, ebay charges are high and the renmaining profits are few also products are not selled always and you have to pay charges for listing it, even if you didn't sell the products.
