This is a fun site I use often. It is a site where one can enter the serial number of paper currency from the States and track where it has been and where it ends up. There are stamps one can buy to stamp the bill with the Wheresgeorge logo so it can be tracked each time a person wishes to do so. I have tracked one as far as to the Phillipines actually a year or so ago. Do you use this site? Have you ever heard of it at all? This is fun being able to see where some of our money goes to and how long it takes to get there etc.

What a cool site, thank you so much for sharing. I had never heard of it until your discussion, but quickly registered and can't wait to go see where my money has been. Probably more interesting than where it's going...lol. This is probably the fist time in a long long time that you could actually get any entertainment for a dollar...lol.

Yeah entertainment for a dollar is a thing of the past. I miss the 99 cent movies from just a few years ago. Now going to a movie with my wife costs us about $30 in the end not counting dinner. That's if we go after 6 p.m. Before 6 it costs maybe $20 total with treats and pop etc.

Oh yes, I remember the $1 theater that was nearby when I lived in Florida, that was only about 10 years ago. They even sold their smaller snacks and drinks for $1, and had reasonable prices on the rest. Now a "bargain matinee" is up to $7 or $8, (instead of $10) and forget about snacks, I bring a bottle of water and candy or something from home.

We still have a couple of 'dollar' theaters open, although they're now $1.50. On Tuesdays (must be the slowest days of the week) the admission is 50 cents. The movies are all 2nd release, and mostly are available at the video store, or are on the premium movie channels already. But it's nice to see movies on a big screen, rather than at home. I don't even mind $3 for popcorn. Drive in theaters have also seen a new popularity. A family of 4 or 5 cannot afford to spend upwards of $100 to see a movie together. The drive ins near me charge $5 per person and show 2 or 3 first release movies. It's easy to see if there's a drive in anywhere near you at www.drive-ins.com

There is a companion site for Canadians. We do have less bills now that we have loonies and toonies. I did enter some bills a long time ago. The bills we have these days just seem to fall apart.

My kids and I used to do that. One dollar we entered had come from Seattle, Washington to Arizona in just 3 days! We never tracked one we spent because I wouldn't let them write on it as it is against the law to deface currency. I was quite a stickler on laws when they were growing up.

I first heard of the site in 2004 and haven't been there since then. I went back in today and learned nothing much has changed. Of the 54 bills I entered, only eight were recorded by someone else and those each only once. Not once has any bill been entered since August 2004. I think it's great that you had one leave the country. My farthest was O'Hare International in Chicago. One in Maryland; one in Pennsylvania. The rest local. I'm glad the site is still operating. It's a fun idea, for sure.

It's a blast as long as others rcord the bills as well. Being my wife is a waitress, I get a lot of the bills stamped with the logo. So I enter many. I have no idea how many as I haven't been to the site in a month or so. But I am going there soon as I have two $1 and one $5 bills to enter.

That site is a lot of fun; whenever I find a bill that has the site name on it, I log it in. I've added some of my own to it, as well. I haven't checked on my bills in awhile, I need to go do that and see where they are.
I never had one go nearly as far as the Phillipines! (Philadelphia, maybe...)

I need to et a stamp for myself. As I help copiunt out the register each noight when my wife closes, I could stamp all the bills. She'd give them out as change etc giving many more opportunities for others. I'd record each bills info on paper, then enter them at night myself. I got to get me a stamp and soon.

I've never used this site, I didn't know it existed. It would be interesting to see how far our money goes, I often wonder where the dollar I spent ends up at, now I can see...Have a good day

I used to be absolutely addicted to wheresgeorge. My hubby would get all mad at me because if we were going out I would have to wheresgeorge all my dollars before we went. He hated waiting, plus he thinks where's george is dumb. But what does he know? I find it very interesting.
I haven't had any hits outside the U.S. yet, but hopefully one day. I wish more people did where's george. I love seeing where my money ends up.

If i have enough time i will do that.Write a name or signal on one piece of money,do you think there is a coincidence that the money will back someday?
And it`s not a easy to track. One missed ,the rest are so diffcult.
