Do you wear high-heeled shoes when shopping?

I like wearing shoes with heels but I can wear up to three inches heels only. Wheneever I go out of the house, I prefer to wear heeled shoes. But one day, I went to the mall and forgot that I will do the grocery and buy some meat, vegetables and other groceries wearing heeled shoes. I was much comfortable with my shoes when I was just pushing the grocery cart and getting the items that I needed. When all my groceries were packed, I had to carry four big and heavy grocery bags. I only realized the discomfort of wearing a high-heeled shoe after I carried the four grocery bags. I lost my poise right there and then.
In your case, do feel comfortable wearing high-heeled shoe even when you go shopping or do buy your groceries?

I used to love my heels! But since I had back surgery a couple of years ago, I can only wear certain types of shoes, and if they have a heel, I have to be careful how long I have them on my feet. otherwise, I end up with a hurting back and very swollen feet and legs.

Unfortunately my back injury and damage is permanent. I will never have full strength in my left leg and hip, walk for long distances or stand on hard floors/concrete for long periods of time.
I am blessed to be walking at all! I couldn't prior to the surgery, and had lost bladder function due to spinal constriction.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. . High heels will definetely not good for those who have back injuries. I hope you are fine now.

I really do not wear high-heeled shoes when shopping. That can really be uncomfortable for me. I would like to be very comfortable when shopping. There are times however when I go shopping or do the grocery (because I need to) immediately after work. Because of this, I end up shopping or going to the grocery in my heels.

It is really a great discomfort when we go shopping in high heeled shoes but sometimes we can't avoid it especially when go to the mall or grocery after office hours.

No I can only wear flat shoes at the moment as I have to be careful with my back,trainers used to be my favourites to trudge around in.I sometimes wore little heels but high heeled shoes no I have no balance and would stumble and fall over,oh the embarrasment.xxxx

It is really a shame to stumble when one is wearing high heeled shoes. Chances are you will be laughed at. Flat shoes are still the most comfortable shoes.

No, i definitely can't wear high-heeled shoes while shopping because i can't even stand wearing them even for an hour. My feet already hurts by then. Wearing high-heeled shoes is is very uncomfortable, i'd rather wear flip-flops because they are really comfortable to wear.

I like high-heeled shoes because it can make me higher and more graceful.But i don't like to wear high-heeled shoes when shopping.It is uncomfortable and painful if you stand for a long time.It is harmful to your feet.I often wear flat shoes to go shopping.I often wear high-heeled shoes and flat shoes for several days alternately.

I usually wear flat shoes when I go shopping but that was one of my shopping moments when I have forgotten to change my heeled shoe to a flat one. It's really not good to wear high heels when shopping.

Absolutely not during shopping because it will be difficult for me and would make me slow not unlike when wearing only flat shoes or flip flops or flat sandals which is much easier and make me feel convenient when doing my shopping. Its not hard on feet roaming around, walking and falling in line. Aside from that it makes my shopping faster and always had my poise.

I also love rubber shoes. I wear rubber shoes when I go walking or when it's rainy so to avoid my feet from being cold or wet. It's a lot comfortable when I'm wearing this kind of shoes. Have a good day and happy mylotting.

I wear high heeled shoes very rarely and only on special occassions. My feet aren't accustom to them and I am a little clumsy so I am always afraid I will fall on my face! All in all, I would never wear them shopping!

Hi....never wore high heeled shoes before let alone where high heeled shoes to do grocery shopping. The highest heeled shoe I have is 1 inch and that was a long time ago. Now all my shoes are either flats or 1/2 inch only. I prefer these to high heels. Besides i am tall so wearing high heels would make me even more taller.

You are very blessed to be tall because you don't need to wear high-heeled shoes anymore. I am not tall, so the heels give me additional inches to increase my height. When I wear high heeled shoes, at least I have the feeling of being tall. LOL

I like that attitude of walking tall but not falling off. But the problem with having four grocery bags, two in each hand, is that you are dwarfed by the bags itself. LOL.

I wear heels all the time. The only time I wear heels when shopping is when I have to get a few items from the store after work cause i dont feel like going home first to change and then go out again. When Im just doing errands I tend to wear flip flops or tennis shoes depending on the weather to do my shopping.
Sometimes I might wear a sandal that has a wedged heel but not tradional high heels.

I like that wedged high heeled shoes. It's alot comfortable than the traditional high-heeled shoes. i can stand for hours and can walk for miles if I wear that wedged shoe. Thanks for responding and have a good day.

Ack! No I don't. It's so rare that I use High-heeled shoes, and that's upto 2 inches only. When I go shopping I use sneakers or any flat comfy shoes =).

I never wear high heels any longer. I can wear an inch heel or a slight bit higher once in awhile but not regularly. I am required to wear closed toed shoes at work and when home, wear tennis shoes. I have a back problem and last weekend we had a wedding. I wore sandals that had a little heel and I am paying for it this week. Just can't do it any longer. I admire ladies who can do this without having problems.

hi dorisday...nope i dont wear high heels when shopping..im not comfortable and besides im not really used to of wearing one...i can only tolerate one and a half inches i guess more than that is a no no to me..even when im still working i really dont wear it...and when i go shopping i always wear a slipper(havainas) or a sandals..

I rarely wear heels anymore. Especially after having my 3 kids my feet are too wide for most heeled shoes that are not a variation of a loafer.

Believe it or not, I have gone shopping in high heels before. But most of the time, I don't. hahahaha. I bring socks though. Just in case.

I never wear high heeled shoes to go on shopping and if i know that i would be walking way far like my hubby used to do when we go out. I really hate walking long distance and for me i would just wear a sandal which is more comfortable.
I would only wear high heels when at work or in the office. But during those hours we can relax our feet by wearing flip flops since they also allow. Not unless there are clients or visitors, we would switch back to high heeled shoes again.
It sure is difficult to wear heels and carrying heavy grocery bags and hail a cab back home. I did experienced that too but long time ago. Happy Mylotting!
