Ok as most of you know I went to California. Well I had a blast and now want to see many places I even intend to visit and get pics of what makes Minnesota good. Lived here all my life and yet no good pics. So I want to here about where you live. Say I am visiting (which you never no someday i might) where would you take me assuming you even like me? What is a must see in your area?

I have a link for you - maybe it will even persuade you to visit! Hugs xxx http://www.visitstirling.org/AttractionDetails.aspx?docid=91&nav1=3&nav2=67

hey we are only half an hour from Edinburgh and its Castle too - but Stirling is much better! lol Does he love History? This place has so much history attached to it and our house is on the site of the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314 - where the Scots trounced the English and inspired our unofficial anthem Flower Of Scotland! Maybe some of that would convince him? xxxx

Hi minnie, I'm glad you had fun on your vacation. As I mentioned before there aren't too many attractions here in Sacramento. But I was wondering what you thought of it just the same.

It's sad to say but I haven't seen that much of the state I've been living in for the last 30+ years! But I would have to take you to Old World Wisconsin an outdoor museum showcasing original farms from the different nations which originally settled here. If you traveled home with me I'd have to take you to see the Vermont mountains, and the beaches of Maine and Rhode Island (as I get to visit there most years). Maybe the rock bound northern Maine coast, but I haven's seen so very much of that either!

Austin and Central Texas is full of wonderful places to visit. Start with the sights in Austin, the Capital, LBJ Library, the O'Henry Museaum, the French Legation. Head out to the Lady Bird Johnson Wild Flower Center and then, if you like, head to San Antonio to see the Alamo and the other missions on the Mission Trail. Or, are you into music, I'll arrange for you to go to 6th street - I'm not much into that scene myself. Or do you want to see the natural sights? Mt Bonnell, Barton Springs and then head out to the hill country, maybe go by the LBJ Ranch and then Enchanted Rock. Texas is a wonderful place to visit.

I am in south Texas and the city where I live there isn't that much to see really, at least I don't think so but I have also been here most of my life. We do have a nice aquarium, a few museums, a big ship that is docked here called the Lexington that supposedly has a ghost on board. There is a lot of water along with sail boats and shrimp boats. You can also go to the beach; Padre Island. Like I said, not much really.

oh, i'm jealous. I love california! I live in KY, but there's not much around here to show ya. There's caves, hikes, rivers, lakes, etc. My favorite place to go is Tennessee. There's so much to do. My favorite place is Gatlinburg. Then you have Cloudland Canyon where you hike all the way down and at the end there's a beautiful waterfall. The mountains are gorgeous. You have smoky mountains, racoon mountain, and my favorite, lookout mountain. Lookout has Ruby Falls and there's a section of the mountain where people live and all there streets are named after Disney characters. There's also a hang-gliding cliff. In Chattanooga you have the aquarium, Chattanooga ChooChoo, and other cool places to go. There's SOOO many hiking trails. When I lived there, I use to go to Red Clay Park all the time. There's tons of other things to do. Near the city there's a town called Collegedale. There's a huge playground for kids that my cousin helped build. My kids have deemed it their most 'favoritest' playground in the world. lol. Anyway. Of course, I don't know if you prefer city or nature. I've always liked the city, especially Chicago, but Tennesse is what made me like the country/nature. I consider Chattanooga/Collegedale my hometown.

There is a lot to see in Chicago. Sears Tower 1353 fest, the highest in the city. John Hancock Observatory, to zoom up 1000 feet in Americas fastest elevator. You can see Chicago and far suburbs from 360 degree view. Legoland discovery for kids, Kohl children s museum, Brookfield Zoo, Lincol Park Zoo. Alder Planetarium (Americas first Planetarium), Shedd Aquarium (World's largest indoor aquarium) Millennium Park located in Downtown and over the Lake, have daily free concerts and other attractions. During the summer we have free dancing classes in grand park and Jazz concerts. In Ravinia (lew miles north from Downtown Chicago in June, July and August we have also daily concerts (not expensive) There are many tours on Chicago River and lake Michigan. Chicago Downtown is one of the largest and nicest in USA.

Hi Minnie, I live in the northern Virginia area, which is a suburb of Washington,DC.There is a lot of history here and I would love to show it to you.I suppose I will start telling you about what is closest to me.One of the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museums. There is the Sully Plantation, where General Robert E. Lee's uncle resided, the Fairfax Museum, the old schoolhouse.historical homes in Fairfax city also,Great Falls, the old schoolhouse in Great Falls,Colvin Run Mill,Kidwell Farm/Frying Pan Park,The Burke House.I do genealogy and there is the archives and genealogical library in Fairfax city also.We can fish and swim at Burke Lake park and Lake Fairfax park.Next to the Lake Fairfax park is the Reston Zoo.It is a small zoo,but interesting and fun.In the other direction are the battlefield grounds at Manassas and old buildings used by the soldiers. In Falls Church is an old historical home.In Arlington there are more historical homes. One of the homes known as The Custis Lee Mansion/The Arlington House that is located at The Arlington National Cemetery. That house was the home of General Robert E. lee and his wife Mary Custis. The Pentagon is also in Arlington. In Alexandria there is his boyhood home,Mount Vernon,Gunston Hall,The Masonic Temple,The Navy Museum. And much more plus there are historical signs in a lot of places.I also have alot of personal history here because my ancestors came here from Ireland and England and settled mostly in the Great Falls area. Then there are many sites in Washington,DC across the Potomac River is The Kennedy center. Then there is The White House,The Capital building,Lincoln Memorial,Roosevelt Island,Jefferson Memorial,Washington Monument. The Smithsonian has many museums such as,Natural History,American History,Native American,The Holicost,Air and Space,a couple of art galleries and there are 1 or 2 art galleries that are not owned by the Smithsonian Institute. The National Aquarium,The Smithsonian national Zoo which is a big zoo and has panda's!Lol,my favorite animal. The Botanical Gardens and The National Cathedral. There are many more places in DC that I cannot think of off the top of my head right now. In Virginia there are more historical places and parks farther out.Monticello,Williamsburg and jamestown for a few that I would love to go to.I am 47 years ols and lived here most of my life and still have not seen everything.I am trying.

Hi minnie dear! I don't have to pretend that I like you because i do like you. What we will pretend is that I have much money and will send you air fare ticket to visit my country. You can take the whole family with you. I will take you first to The Beaches of Palawan, Philippines. It is not near my place but I would really love to take you there. Branded as the country's last frontier, Palawan is a sanctuary to an amazing variety of exotic flora and fauna that are found nowhere else. Palawan is also home to Tubbataha Reef, the only national marine park that made it to the World Heritage List and whose grandeur is comparable to the Great Barrier Reef of Australia. With more than a thousand islands and islets, Palawan boasts of white-sand beaches, scenic rock formations, underwater rivers and magnificent caves. Other well-known attractions include Saint Paul's National Park which boasts of caves that nestle an underground river; El Nido, a world-class resort famous for its awe-inspiring seascape and limestone cliffs; and Calauit island, home of Philippine and African wildlife. Also in Palawan is the primordial island of Busuanga, a perfect starting point for sorties to other nearby islands. In Palawan, each day is promising. The sun rises over the South China Sea and soon everything else sparkles, including the smiles of its people. Here's the link so you can see what Palawan looks like. http://www.tourism.gov.ph/explore_phil/place_details.asp?content=description&province=22 Assuming that I am very wealthy, I will take you to more beautiful places here in my country. God Bless..take care always! lovelots..faith

If you come to our place, it's not only the sight seeing but you must definitely taste as this is a food paradise. I think everyone throughout the whole country from where I come from would agree to that. We had a friend that's from Australia but now residing in Malaysia came up from south ( hmm...he's from Down Under, no wonder he's living in the south) He commented that the food up North in our place was definitely more refined. As for sigh-seeing part, historical places like the museum & Fort Cornwallis ( during English occupation ) are a couple of places to visit. There's also Penang Hill where you can go up by tram/ cable car, then you have the Kek Lok Si Temple which is just near by. The batik house is also another place to consider. I feel like I'm sounding like a tourist guide, haha!~ That's my dad, not me, haha!~He's a tourist guide by profession & my mum is a ticket consultant, how cool is that!~

Hi minnie! When are you coming to visit! You must know that I live in one of the most exciting states in the world, but I think you have lived here already or have you? I know that your Dad did, but I'm not sure if you were born then? I live in NY! Well, I live in Yonkers, which in itself isn't that exciting, but it's 45 minutes from Manhattan and real close to upstate and everthing else that is wonderful about NY! It is really so beautiful in so many parts of this state! I really do wish you would come for a visit! But, I'm sure your Dad can tell you all you need to know about it and I would hope that would make you want to visit for sure! You are always welcome and I would love to take you on a tour of Manhattan at least!
