I cannot really eat more of the fish... 3 meals = only fish??? I had to visit a not so close friend but anyways, I was there morning til latee evening.. In the morning they already had a fish and rice, which is a bit of change because I only eat toasts and poached egg in the morning so there... For lunch we had the same kind of fish again with soup and rice... it was nice but I was still full I only ate a bit.. The for dinner we had again the fish but this time its grilled, in fairness there was a side salad and pineapple juice.. However, i still did not get to eat.. I just felt full and sick.eating fish for the whole day isnt really something I could do

I ate bread the whole day= = cause Im too lazy to buy some food,or cook.... after that day ,I cant stand any bread for a week.... during that week,If there were only fruit and bread left I preferred to have fruit as a meal...... my mum used to cook chicken and we ate chicken for a day~ but that was much better

Can't blame you if your feeling lazy. When I was away from my mum, I had to do a bit of cooking for myself or buy some for myself. If i dont buy I would starve so everytime I go to Tesco, I buy bread, water and juices and some crisp.. So if ever Im too tired to cook or go out I would just eat in my room then sleep...

Call it absurd but I know they have more than a fish. Their house is huge, a swimming pool, a room for yoga, toilets that are themed in thai. Although i just dont get it they are very thrifty or just theyre not that accommodating..makes me wonder more now

Over here, fish is one of the more expensive things to eat as is other types of seafood. Most families don't eat fish all the time for their meals. My family has fish three or four times a week, mostly at dinner time. Cost aside, I don't believe in only eating fish most of the time, because I will get sick of it. So I don't blame you for feeling that way too, having eaten fish continuously over several meals. I believe in a balanced diet, where I have fish or seafood, meat (chicken, pork, etc.) and vegetables, together with starch as in rice or potatoes, and also finishing off a meal with some fruits. We all enjoy our meals with the variety of dishes we cook for each meal.

lol =D That's what i'm doing for the past 2 decades in my life.. hehe ^_^ ONCe my mom cooked lunch, whatever is left over from it, will be our dinner as well.. lol=D Well, at least it saved her the trouble of cooking again, and on top of that, my family is quite small, thus it's ok to cook just once to last for the whole day.. lol =D I'm used to it by now ^_^

Appetizer?? We will never have that except for myself.. lol =D Because before she manages to put the dishes on plate or on the table, i would have helped myself to it, by pinching them first.. lol =D However, soup is always a must whenever she's cooking rice ^_^

very convenient and relaxing for your mum.. Glad you guys are good. My mum does it too sometimes when she's exhausted from making giveaways for parties, she makes sure we have a soup or something as appetizer..

awww. am sorry for that mz ira, I know that some people can't stand eating same kind of food all day but I got used to it since I was a little girl. I can eat just about anything even if we have to eat the same viand for the whole day... I love food though I am allergic to some seafood like shrimp, crabs or any crustaceans lol but I still a little of them lol espcecially if they're fresh... ^_^ Maybe you should just put this down to experience... we sometimes need to put our comforts aside to establish friendship God bless... ^_^

I could not eat fish three times a day either. I do not like seafood that well anyway. I prefer Mexican food most.

Hi Mz-Ira, I understand what you meant. My experience was some years back, when my husband's cholesterol reading was real high, and we had to take more white meat. So it was like eating fish almost every day. I'm okay with chicken, but fish - yucks! And steamed fish (no deep-fried, poached or baked). It went on for 6 months; I remembered hating the sight and smell of fish then! Now it's not so bad - we still have fish but not so often, maybe once a week!

6 months is way long, that's half of a year and consuming only fish... But its fair enough, you had to eat as well what your hubby have to eat How is your hubby anyway? Hope he's cholesterol reading is back to normal and no more fish everyday.. have a good day and stay safe

Hi mz_Ira! I don't blame you one bit! I could never eat fish 3 times in one day! And certainly not for breakfast! One meal a day would be enough for me! How can they possibly eat fish 3 times in one day! That just is too much! I would go crazy just like you! You must have been ready to scream when you saw that you were being fed the same thing again by dinner time! That much fish isn't even healthy for you! There is such a thing as too much, even when it comes to fish!

I understand if they were being thrifty and i cannot blame them the fact that there's economic downturn...unfortunately, the fish really smells even if its cooked... too fishy... and yes a person has its limit of tolerance, beyond that it might give you allergic of that certain food or thing...

haha ...That is the case with me! i don't think it is easy for us to eat the same food a whole day. i used to eat lotus all day long, and after that i felt sick when i saw lotus again. people can not stand eating the same thing again and again.they need something else to reflesh their appetite.

exactly! Fish is alright because im not allergic to eat but still its good to have different viands. But then if not, a person might just reached his limits of tolerance with it....

We're pretty like the same though. I cannot stand to have the same kind of food for the whole day. It always happen to me though, glad for you that you only have the same fish but in three different ways of cooking it. Not like me, i have tried the whole kind of food for the rest of the day. My dad is a thrifty person and he is so strict about budgeting. Since then when economic crisis hit philippines, we started to save things up. We started it in our food, now and then, my mom would only cook something and make it into an amount that would last for the whole day. All we have to do is to heat it a bit. Gosh, its really gross sometimes. And with this, if i cannot really take it, sometimes ill sneak into my granny's house and ask for some viand. HAHA.

Once I had no food and no money but I had 3 loaves of bread, so for 3 days all I lived on was bread! I had peanut butter sandwiches, jelly sandwiches, honey sandwiches, toast and jam, dry toast, just plain bread, fried bread and bread pudding! By the third day my bread was all gone but it didn't matter because the check I was waiting for finally came through! I cashed my check and went to the store and bought lots of food but I did NOT buy any bread!

Awwww.... I'm sorry to have to hear that a fellow my lotter had had such a terrible food day. Hang in there Ira, remember your day to visit your friend and help sort her out. Encourage her or whatever it was you had to do. you can always stop by at restaurant or fast food joint e.g. Mc Donalds on your way back. Or have tons of chocolate cake at home.

I could understand if they just prefer fish so much to any other sort of food. Or they belong to those who never care about what they eat, for just being full is Ok. But when there comes a friend to visit, it's not polite to serve him the same kind of cause for every meal, especially a not so close one. I feel with you for i am the same type of person as you who are inclined to be variety-seeking in life, daily meals included.

Fortunately you won't stay there long time, only one day.Maybe it is their habit to eat fish frequently.Actually,if I don't like something in other's home,I won't tell them I don't like it,I only do like you did,eat a bit.Maybe they entertain guests honestly with fish. But it is better for them to ask guest what they like to eat. Actually,I like fish very much.If I come to your friend's,I think I will be very happy to eat fish three times a day! hahaha

Well, for myself I'm a pasta eater :) I eat pasta at least 3 times a day and never get fed up of it. I'm a true Italian and true Italians love pasta. People always tell me, don't you ever get fed up of eating pasta ? I tell them, if you never eat pasta how are you supposed to grow ? Its true pasta makes you grow and also makes you happy. I bet some of you never knew that before :)
