Do you ever check other members' profiles?

I know that many members have a limited time to spend on my lot and some would like to devote as much of that time as possible to posting, but do you ever look at another member's profile page? I sometimes check the profile of a member if the start an excellent discussion or provide worthwhile or poignant comments. Also, if I receive a friend request, I tend to check out that member's profile first to check their activity level and see if their interests match up with mine before I accept or deny the request. What are your reasons for checking profiles or not checking them?

I'm totally with you on this. I don't just simply add anybody & I would want to have as much info as possible before adding a person. And yes, those who start excellent discussions & also provide useful info, I'll normally check their profile & then probably send them a friend request!~

Yeah, we appear to be like-minded individuals. Perhaps that is why we are in each others friend list, no? 
Looking at someone's profile may give extra insight into their comments. If nothing else, it's difficult to truly be friends with someone you know nothing about. I view the profile as a little peak into a member's personality. Cheers.

Ohh yes, no matter how busy I may be, but I never forget to check the profile of other fellow mylotters whenever I get a chance.Checking their profile do help a lot to relate their post so often,specially if I like some posts made by them,and then I do send a friend request to them at times too.

It's hard to get to know someone just from a post on a forum. I view checking someone's profile as a small attempt to get to know them a little better. Especially so if I find that particular member's comments to be noteworthy.

Just like you, if they start a interesting discussion, I would look at there profile, just so see what there interests are and what other discussions they have started and the ones they have responded to.
Sometimes I might check somebody's profile if they send me a friend request, but mostly I don't.

pweety, do you employ the method of just excepting all friend requests? Have you ever deleted a friend from your list if they didn't work out?

Hi friend,I would check upon other profiles if I find their post or responses interesting.Also any username that attracts my attention,I would simply go to his/her profile and check and also when adding friends request,it doesn't matter whether their interest are same as mine or not as long as they want me to be their friends,I will add anyone whether they are active or inactive myLottians, I don't deny request.

I soldem check the profile of any member except that the discussion he/she started is really intersting and attact me a lot.

when i approve a friend application i will check his/her profile.
