I needed to buy a gift for my brother and knowing how he likes to read I picked up this book for him - Top 10 For Men (Over 250 lists that matter) by Russell Ash. I have had a quick look myself and have found it very interesting, who says it's the top 10 for men?. LOL For example:- Most Common Phobias 1) Open spaces 2) Driving 3) Vomiting 4) Confined spaces 5) Insects 6) Illness 7) Animals 8) Flying 9) Blushing 10) Heights What interesting books have you stumbled across recently? Have you ever bought a book as a gift for someone and then kept it for yourself?

Hi ya ANTIQUELADY When I lived out in the States for a while I used to go to Barnes and Noble and just take a book off the shelf, sit in the cafe with a cup of coffee and read a short story or so and then put the book back on the shelf without buying it, that's the cheapest way huh? Thanks ANTIQUE

I'm always buying books for gifts. There are many in my family that love reading. I'm one of them. I have never kept a book that I purchased for someone else. If I want the book I just purchase another one for me. If it's an expensive one then I may request that I get to read it when they are done with it.

Several years ago I was given "Etiquette for men" Humbug. A Victorian book about how we should conduct ourselves - especially in front of you ladies. Of course, we have to be introduced first. LOL.

Hi ya aisaellis22 Hmmm - there you go that would be a good time for that thinking emote to come in handy hahaha . When you think of insects you have to think about bees, cockroaches and speiders then it makes sense that a phobia of insects would be in the top 10. It has some other really obscure top ten lists like, fastest flying insects, countries with highest prison populations and smelliest french cheeses!! Very interesting huh? LOL Thanks for your response

Last christmas, I bought the Obama autobiographies for my three sons. One son came from the U.K. for christmas and he read anotehr book by Mr. Obmama so I got to read this one too. Needlesss to say I read the book before I gave ot to the sons. I always do this. It is not nice but I always do it. I am a compulsive reader. Good post

I can't say that I have, but it sure sounds like the book would be good for just about anyone. I guess they wanted to make it more appealing for men. LOL
