Hi I am a pharmacist. I see on Mylot there aren't as many pharmacists or doctors so I make myself available for all pharmacy/medicinal related questions. I am currently working in pharmaceutical research at a university as well as in normal pharmacy practice. !PLEASE BE ADVISED! that all the discussions are for entertainment purposes only and are not to be considered final professional advice. I can respond to general concerns regarding medicinal products or pathologies but this is not meant to replace the advice of a doctor or pharmacist who can assess on a one on one basis your heath condition or course of your medication based on more accurate and personalized data. With that in mind...bring on your concerns! ;)

I am glad to see someone of my field of interest. Microbiology is quite an interesting topic. As far as the scarlet fever of Scarlatina is concerned, Streptococcus pyogenes is the crazy bug that ruins the day...but usually with erythromycin you can put an end to it all. It is a childhood disease and kids tend to pass it to each other quite easily. If you know someone who presents the symptoms of the infection, don't hesitate to send him to a family physician...a careful examination is necessary and the antibiotics require a prescription. Hope this is enough...otherwise let me know. Thanks for being fiends with me...I am new to this place and I don;t really know anyone around here. Cheers Val

Hi valpopa I cannot think of anything to ask at the moment but I am gonna add you as a friend. I think I know at some point I might need some advice and although you are not a doctor you might be able to help me in the future. Welcome to mylot and I feel you will find this a pretty neat community. I have been here for about 4 months and I am glad that I am here. I hope to see you around often and I say happy mylotting to you.
