Well here it is April first and I am so eager and ready for Spring. According to the calendar it is officially Spring. But not here in Minnesota. For the last week it has not gotten over 40 degrees and today, April 1st we got yet more snow. Tuesday we got some nasty sloppy rain and snow mix. Now another 3/4 inch this morning and it's still snowing. Lightly at least. My poor table out back is now snow covered. Does Mother Nature play tricks with your Spring plans? Do you set things out too early for Spring? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

We normally don't have to put things up during the winter. Only time we bring anything in is when we know we are going to have a hard freeze and need to bring some plants in.

Oh you're lucky. I have to drain the gas from my things like lawn mower, weed whacker etc and store them for the winter. Ugghh! The tables and chairs and chaise lounges stored etc. Grrr! My garage is a mess right now. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Actually it is not that nature hates you, it is that God hates those people who turned off their lights for Earth Hour and the media who said that this as a good thing and that they finally saved the Earth for an hour or so and stopped the progress of deterioration, that people are bad, etc.. HE is getting back at them for being such fools and you and I and those who did not agree to such nonsense are the victims. I am sick and tired of this late snow and I wonder if when I look out the window one day, that I will soon see some stone age hunters going after some Mastadons. Or maybe the Neanderthals will start appearing again.

Hi Grandpa Bob! I guess Mother Nature is playing an April Fool's joke too! Well, it is in the 40's here to and pouring really cold rain! So I guess Mother Nature doesn't want us to experience Spring yet either! Let's just hope that this is an April Fool's joke and the rest of April will start getting warmer and winter will be gone for good! Please!

we ended up leaving our table out last year... it is a black rod iron table and I will at least get a table cover for it this year, but unfortunately by time we got it set up and was able to use it the summer was basically over and last year I was recovering from my pregnancy/birth of my daughter and pretty much didnt care about the back yard.... this year we will be out there alot so I will be taking alot more care out there this year...but not yet...still too cold and I need very warm days to be out there...LOL

Yes, it certainly did. We had a blizzard last week. We may have snow tonight or tomorrow. Not fun. I need the sun.

It's been a beautiful spring day here today, and it's 74 degrees right now at 5:20. My husband and I got out and cleaned yards today for the first time since winter. It's been too wet here to do anything. Our yards are still a cesspool of water in most places because of the runoff from the place next to us where they cleaned off all the trees and bushes and bulldozed for the future bingo hall that we pray won't be built! It has ruined our front yard and it's going to eventually flood our field lines if the company isn't forced to put up their screens that are a law, yet they never put them up last year when they started this. Usually that's the first thing they do. Anyway, we picked up about 4 truck loads of sticks/limbs/pine cones and leaves. And I cut probably 2 acres or more of grass - probably more! I rode that lawnmower over 2 hours! We did it today because we are expecting rain again tomorrow, like we need it! It might be the middle of the summer before mother nature lets us cut our grass all over this year.

Hey there webeishere. Ow that is sad I guess this is the only advantage of living in a tropical country, we only have two seasons the whole year round. It's sun and more sun , and both your spring and summer equates to more sun for us. So the only time mother nature play tricks on my spring plans is when it rains, although I must say it's a huge relief when it does. Cheers!
