hi... i think we have different music preferences and we are hearing things differently. my aim is to get your reactions to the contestants' performances, try to say something for each one... not just your favorite, i mean you are all free to write a 1000 words for your favorite... let's have a disclaimer here... i'm posting MY thoughts and reactions which anybody who cares can read... it may not go well to some of you or to all of you... so read on just so you know, i am for the goosebumps inducing songs and performances, so if it is a slow song, i expect that 1. anoop - caught up by usher - second disclaimer, he's my reason to watch, that being said, i am a fan of his soulful voice but not of his moves, so the song finished with my eyes half closed, did it lessen my love for the voice, of course not, i've seen more awkward moves from him... but i am still a huge fan, i mean a short stint in AI and the bashings from the likes of kara will not affect that, not by how they judge the contestants 2. megan - turn the lights down low by bob marley - i took the time to have my dinner while she was singing, i need some distraction or i'll dislike her 3. danny - what hurts the most by rascal flatts - m not feeling it, my first encounter with 'what hurts the most' is very heartfelt that a shouty version kinna kills the impression, so, sorry, no goosebumps, i'm not saying he sang bad, that would be a lie and nonsense, i am still in the 'kiss from a rose' moment for him, nothing he has sang topped that yet, even the PYT 4. alison - don't speak by no doubt - i am not distracted by what she is wearing more than her singing, look, the voice is good, gritty, full of character, and that's my problem, at the moments when she is not hitting the great notes, it is just so 'wha...' 5. scott - just the way you are by billie joel - sure, he sang well. anything i say past the period is not favorable for him and sure not worth it 6. lil - i surrender by celine dion - why am i not having goosebumps, the intro video seems to prepare us for that, i mean i think that's how she plans it... i opened myself to it even if i'm not a fan, i mean the girl has so much beating like anoop, it's probably the pressure, maybe when the judges are off her back, she will do waaaaaaaaaaaaay better... 7. matt - you found me by the fray - i like the song, i like matt, next to anoop, but not this performance, the words seems to be slipping out from his mouth like one huge jello, it has no form... 8. adam lambert - play that funky music by wild cherry - dear me, i really need to take some of the coke the judges drink because i am not hearing anything good with this one... sure he changed something in the song, but was if different or a hit? NO. i like it but what irked me is the judges comments, they could have kneeled in front of adam and feel it is not enough... 9. kris - aint no sunshine when she's gone - well it's good, i think, to be fair, it's something i can listen to... i just am not getting much from it, i will listen again just to let it sink in...
