Yes, for me, I have leaved hometown around 9 years since I went to my university. When I am a colleage student, I started to leave hometown. Afterward, I worked in another city more far from my hometown after graduated. I just go back to home to see my parents two or three times every year. Some of my countrymen even didn't know me when I went back to hometown recently since I go back too few and always don't meet them. I miss my parents and hometown very much. Do you work or study far from your hometown, far from your parents? Do you miss them?

From junior middle school i begined my own life without parent's care, now i leave them more distant.I come home every 2 months usually, sometime 3 months. In my hometown there is no very good school so i must go out ,leave home for a further study. i like my parents ,but i can do nothing for them now except monthly call and money! I hope them have a good health !

I have never been in such a situation. My younger sister is away from my family for her medical studies. She is not still that far but she can meet us twice in month or someone from here can go there to meet her. I still miss her little bit. But still we have compromise with life in such situation.

I dont currently study or work far away from my hometown but in past, in my teenage I was studying in some other state from mine. I use to visit my homw just once in a year that too for a week as had to go back for studies what was hard to do from home. I was out for about five years and those five years were very difficult ones for me staying far away from home and everyone as well.

I study in my hometown. Sometimes, I feel like living in a nutshell without knowing anything that really happen in other part of the earth. Someday, I hope I can travel around the world and see how my beloved mother earth really like.

Walking thousands of kilometers better than reading ten thousands books. If you have time, travel around the world.

Hi there freerr. Not just far, I work in a different country. The first few months of my stay in a different country was just so depressing, and I really miss my family a lot. Nowadays my wife stays with me, so at least I've got company. I've gotten used to living away from my parents, but I sure miss them a lot. I also never forget to call them up at least once a week, and visit them at least once or twice a year. Cheers!

Hi, my working place is not far away from my hometown. It only takes me ten minutes to ride a bicycle home. I can meet and see my parents every day. When I was a college student, I also studied far from my hometown. I missed my parents very much then. I can understand your feeling towards your parents since you are working in another city. Wish you all happy every day!

Hi,the answer for me is yes.I have been seperated with my parents since I was in middle school.I seldom come home to see my parents.and I just come back on holidays. When I was in college,I just came back once a term.I was accustomed to live alone and if I miss them,I will give them a call. Now I'm working in another city far away from my parents who also not lived in my hometown, and I haven't come back to my hometown for about 5 years. When I was a little kid,my father followed the drum to Beijing,so my mother and I accompanied him to that city.My father didn't go home since he was 18 years old untile my grandpa fell ill.I miss my hometown and my grandpa, and many many of my friends, classmates.

Same is the case with me. Just the schoolings I did in my hometown. My graduation was in a different place. The my work experience was in three different locations of the world. Finally now I'm married to a person who is completely in a new location So ever since my marriage, I lost the smell of my hometown.

Hi friend, I never studied or worked far from my home town. But I have so many friends who are living in my city and don't get enough time to visite his/her parent city. It's not easy to live like this. You need some people to take care of you specially when you are ill. Also, there is an emotional thing which also work.. happy MylOtting

Hi Freerr, I was once lived for two months far from my hometown. I can't tell for sure as I think two months is pretty short time, plus I don't have to worry about my family and friends because I know that I will be back. But, know I have taken a decision to stay away from my hometown for such a long time (2 years, maybe more). Can you give me some suggestions for my preparation?

Don't afraid of that, you will be the best no matter where if you do you best. Maybe hometown is behiendhand, maybe hometown is too familiar, so many people go out to other citys to find their dream, their future. That is a good thing maybe, we can go back as a successful man, countrymen will envy us, parents will be pound of us. But in hometown, many people also will do very well, and also we see some people leave far from their hometown to our hometown. I think the city most suitable to you is the most important. If your dream is far, just go out, you will don't regret of it.
