Stunned....startled....gasp!

WTF was that?!?! Just like that and Kutner's gone. No warning. And they didn't even give us time to absorb what was happening. I was too stunned to even be sad. I had to check the news to make sure it wasn't one of those emergency episodes they do when an actor dies. I hadn't heard anything but it was such a shock I still had to check. Reactions?

Wow, what a way to end your character on a show! I really thought something had happened to Kal Penn. I also checked the news and was really surprised to find out he was going to be in President Obama's cabinet! What a career switch. All the best to him for making that decision.

What really made me wonder if something had happened to him was they only showed the body from the waist down which could have (and still might have, I don't know) meant body double, or even dummy. And why use a body double unless the real body wasn't available? I'm glad it was happy news and not that he had been in an accident or fired from the show.

I too was shocked. I liked him. I saw a news article today that said he wanted to be written off the show because he is going to work for Obama. I'm not sure if thats true. I also heard that this is going to be the basis for the rest of the season. House will be trying to figure out why. Its a new puzzle for him.

Hill Harper was (I don't know if he still is) working as Obama's financial advisor during the campaign and still worked on CSI: NY. *shrug* They mentioned it in the teaser for next week's episode too so it probably will be pretty heavy in the rest of the season...which is what, 5-6 weeks?

I have to agree. I was thinking, "WHAT!?" There was no prep whatsoever. I expected him to be just sick, a case for House and the team to solve. I really liked Kutner. He was young and interesting. It will be interesting how the team continues to react to this unforseen development. He will be missed. I look forward to his next project.

I know really.... Shock here, he's one of my favorite actors. I loved his character on House. Let's hope it's a Bobby Ewing (Dallas) thing and he comes back soon.

I was totally shocked and stunned as you were, but I had no feelings of lose or sadness because Kutner to me was not one of the main characters. I get really made and upset when a main character goes away. The people that I consider main characters are the ones that have been there from the start and they are: House Cutty Wilson Foreman Chance Cameron
