What Would You Do With Your Spare Time If A Day Was 96 Hours Long....

...and we still only needed 8 hours to work for a living, and 8 hours to sleep? That would free up 80 hours to do as we please. I would spend a lot more time infront of my computer, working. I thought of this question, when I looked at all the Gather and MyLot e-mail notifications in my in-box, and thought of my goal. My husband and I want to go to see Goran Karan (a Croatian singer we like) in Mississauga in a couple of weeks, but we need to earn extra money for concert tickets and bus tickets, and maybe a place to stay for the night if it gets too late. If the days were longer, I could really knuckle down and MAKE THE MONEY in no time flat!!! And if the days were longer, think of how wonderfully long that concert would be!!!!!!! WOOHOO. Why the heck do we need to sleep, anyway? LOL

I wouldn't know what to do with all that extra time. I would have the cleanest house ever! Since I moved into a bigger house there's things I don't have time for now, like washing walls and dusting off the ceilings. I would really need a nap sometime during that 96 hours though

I agree, there would be more time to clean, and explore new recipes, and long luxurious naps. Hot soaking baths as well.

I agree with you both! I would definitely have a super clean house that's for sure even with having an almost 3 year old that loves to get into EVERYTHING! Taking extra long hot bubble baths would be soooooo nice too! Ahhhh heaven :)

It sounds great for me. If I have so long time everyday, then besides working, I will have much more spare time. I can sleep longer. I can have time for my interests such as reading, playing games, cooking, watching movies, computer etc. I love China

i would probaly be on here. i would have a lottt more posts and new discussions than i do now, even though i just started with mylot. if there was 96 hours in a day i would want there to be more daylight then night, cause your right we don't need sleep lol. just a little bit. so that would be weird if there was that many hours in the day.

Sleep is such a waste of time! I wish we could stay up all the time...then I'd get to do all the things I want and need to do!

96 hours!!!!!! Wow, that would be a very very long day. When I read your topic, some skeptical thoughts came into my mind. If a day were to be of 96 hours, perhaps it would not have made much of a difference. The positive aspect of human mind(or the negative aspect as you may feel) is that "the human mind gradually gets used to its surroundings". So a person, who falls short in completing his work in the allotted 24 hours will also fall short if the time is increased to 96 hours. Similarly, a person with smart time management will complete all his work even if the day is reduced to 10 hours. IT IS ALL IN THE MIND!!!! For our own sake we can consider the day to be of 96 hours, the only problem would be there will be only 2 days in a week then!

That would be Sooooooo awesome!! I think I would spend 20 of the remaining hours working, and I would spend the rest of it (60 hours) with my family :) 20 hours a day would make one heck of a pay cheque every 2 weeks that's for sure :) Great discussion hun, and Happy Easter to you and your family :)

I would spend all that extra time on my lot and I wouldn't feel guilty about it! right now I should be studying and cleaning the house but I'm on mylot. If I had that extra time I wouldn't have to worry about that!

WOW 80 hours free~ I can do many things with that time. Like play pc, practice playing, hang out with friends, etc. But with our 24hr a day i cant do all those things. So i thing if we will have a 96 hours for a day. That will be a lot of time for me. And i thing i will have a extra time maybe 3 hours for myself. Just to be alone. .

Since I was a small child I've always been facinated with taking things apart, seeing how they worked and then putting them back together if I could. I like looking at a problem and coming up with a solution, mechanically speaking. I spend alomost all my extra time ( which is not much ) in my garage tinkering with things I have taken apart and wondering how to make something do a particular thing it was not designed to do. Like taking the acid out of an old battery using it in a diluted solution to clean various tools or household items. Does it clean well? Does it cause discoloration? Taking apart clocks and turning them into kitchen timers. I guess what I'm saying that if I had the extra time maybe I could invent something that would really be useful and potentially make a lot of money by coming up with the proverbial new mouse trap.

It is great to have fun goals like that. All the best luck to you. I hope I would travel more if I had longer days available. I think I would just be outside more, at more naturally beautiful places like lakes etc. I would definitely spend more time with my husband.

I would do all my errands and catch up on cleaning and my rest. I would defintly go out more after work cause i would have the time too.

96 hours a day would be great time to do all those things we cannot do. i would watch two movies. a few television shows. may be i lay my hand on the canvas and paint something out my imaginnation. i would grab a few extra hours of sleep. even after all this i would have ample time to spend the day. then i would go in for some outing with friends. well, a few extra hours of myLoting is obvious. then also if some time is left then i would clean up the mess in my cupboard and wardrobe.
