I admit I find it very uneasy and inadequate. I had mine last year, my husband bought me one after a constant fight due to the fact that I really don't like wearing one. I know it's good for the eyes, in fact I'd been advise a year earlier to use a reading glass because my eyes had started to be needing one but I just had some stupid thinking of making me look very old when wearing a glass. But he kept explaining me that I really need to use them so not to strain my eyes when reading. Am using them tho, only for reading purposes. How about you, how did you feel about wearing your first glasses?

I was young in school and felt stupid and silly. Kids would pickon me and laugh. So I stopped wearing them in school like I was suppose to. Had to wear the near the parents when reading and watching tv though. But it was different I was in my house with my parents. So I was comfortable.

Hahaha this is funny!! the first time I use glasses is just for fashion purposes. I see an optometrist and had my glasses, with that colored shade... they said it was a double vista meaning for reading and for seeing things clear.. and then I said to myself...Why am I doing this? I am fine? I can still read without this hahahaha... I feel it cute with that glasses.. that was when I was in my 30's.. well, anyway... when I reach 40, I feel the need of glasses.. not the colored one but the one which could help me, read.. I admit, I can't really read the words without that glasses... when I was over 40.. and I use glasses now when I read.. but going anywhere? I never use glasses even sun glasses.. I just have the reading glasses.. I really need it not for decoration purposes but for me to see the words clearly. Meaning... I used glasses only when I am reading.

i have had glasses since i was a girl about 12. no one has really picked on me because my personality has been that i think glasses are cool. my 12 year old daughter also wears them, but now, they have such great frame choices out there.
