I think it's time for a cold shower....

Normally, we have enough hot water for everyone, but I'm not sure how it's going to work out this morning. My son is home for a couple weeks, so our routines are sure to be disrupted a bit. For example... My husband takes a shower around 5:30am, which is an hour or so before me. My oldest son usually gets in the shower around 7am, and I'm right around there too. Usually, there's plenty of hot water for the both of us. But this morning, my youngest son is home and he got up and took his shower right before 7am. Then my oldest hopped in there and now it's time for me to get moving... I hope I have a bit of hot water left! Otherwise I'm going to have to get up early for a couple weeks just to get some hot water. Wish me luck!

I think you may have to set a timer then and limit them to 5 minutes so there's enough hot water for everyone. Otherwise they may need to switch their schedule around so someone takes a shower right before bed. That's what we do, some of us take a bath before bed others when they get up so we have enough hot water and so it drains properly.

We're all usually pretty quick in the shower, I just didn't know how it would go with three in a row like that. I got lucky and it was still nice and hot!

Poor you!! Luckily it's just Hubby and I here so we always have plenty of hot water but I did do a boo-boo a few weeks ago. Hubby was in taking a shower and without thinking I started doing dishes. Halfway through his shower he got ice water. It was funny but I felt bad too. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I do that to my oldest all the time. He'll be running late and be in the shower when I'm finishing up loading the dishwasher. He's never said anything about it, but I guess we're good on the hot water - I had plenty today!

Good luck, friend. Sometimes running the hot water revs up the hot water heater and it produces more. I sure hope that is the case for you. I get up early enough myself, so I do not like the idea of having to get up extra early to shower or complete my morning routine. Of course having your son home would balance that out.

Yeah, I didn't have the heart to tell him "welcome home, but don't take a shower until we all leave..." Actually, I lucked out and it was nice and toasty! I don't know that I want to chance it tomorrow...
