While mylotting I just reach out for one and pop it into my mout and pop, it is such a nice feeeing to just pop it, see I am strange, I never used to eat them and now I am buying them like made, everyone else sits there with chocolates or sweets and crips, but me its cherry tomatoes, does anyone else like cherry tomatoes, would you like some? heres another one, 'pop', I'll have to get some more tomorrow. I tell you, I start eating tomatos and I have a hard time stopping. However, the next day I am SO sorry, when those lovely tomatos are done with the processing and I pay for the pleasure of the day before....

I used to have a few cats that LOVED tomatos, Mekon would beg for tomatos! Many cats I've had would mug us for spagetti sauce, Timus will even go after salsa! Tomatos aren't onions, they won't hurt the cat

I think they are pretty good as well. I love them in salads the best. I have not had one in awhile so yes please send some this way. I do tend to pop chocolate myself but I plan on starting a diet and exercise plan this week so chocalate will only be on a rare occasion. Take care and happy mylotting and happy easter today as well.

oh yes, i love them. but if its a recent craving, could you be pregnant? i know i never cared for lettuce even on my sandwiches. but, when pregnant with my last son, i could not get enough. all the way home from the store while hubby drove, i was tearing off big hunks of lettuce stuffing my face. it just tasted soooo good. now it has went back to not having any taste to me at all again. very strange, huh?

Hi Tamara, Isn't it nice to find something crisp and refreshing to replace things like candy, chocolate and other not so good for you snacks. I love cherry or whatever little tomatoes as well. It's nice when the smaller fruits come into season also. It's a little messier but that's what licking fingers is for. Once I get out of my cast and I can go grocery shopping again, I'll have to pick up some cherry tomatoes. Thanks for the idea. Don't forget Grapes!!! xoxoxoxo leenie

Tamara, I injured my right foot somehow, I don't remember a few months ago. And a couple months ago, dropped a pineapple on the top of the same foot. No break but it continued to swell 3x it's size every night. So after 4 weeks of cortisone shots which did nothing for it, they put it in a cast for 2 weeks. The cast comes off Wed. This Podiatrist doesn't seem to know what she's doing. We'll see. Thanks for asking.xoxoxo leenie

Hi leenie, Thank you for your response, yes it is nice to have something cripsy and health to munch on, but I just can't stop eating them once start, I have bought anothor two packs now and that will so till Wednesday, and right I will get some grapes as well, good thinking. What happened for you to be in a cast, did you have an accident? I hope you feel better soon and not is so much pain. Hugs. Tamara

oh man, now I want some!! lol. I love cherry tomatoes. Maybe it's that spring fever making you want to just keep eating them.or maybe your body is craving something to clean out your system. Sometimes if we're not getting the right amount of nutrition we'll have cravings for it. I've eaten them like that before. I just kept going til the container was gone. Sometimes I'm not paying attention and I'll pop one in my mouth that clearly lived it's life and was now decaying...oh man, there went all the tomatoes i had just eaten. lol. It is alot better than sweets and chips. I like to mix it up a bit w/ cucumbers, carrots or fresh broccoli, that way I will get full quicker and not eat all at once. Just be careful with those little red treats, because alot of acid will cause canquor sores. those are very unpleasant...especially on the tongue. some people can handle high doses, but I can't. I know you said you can't eat peanuts anymore. have you tried sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds. A nutrionist said that a handful of pumpkin seeds will give you a days serving of protein. I think that's neat because I don't eat meat everyday and I can still get my protein with just a handful of seeds.

I like sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds, too. That's one of my favorite thing about the fall--roasting pumpkin seeds. Thanks for the best response!

I like cherry tomatoes but not as much as you do right now. Sometimes I get those packages with the tomatoes, carrots and brocolli and dip. They taste great when you dip it in ranch dressing.

well i'd think it's a message your body is sending you. maybe your body is lacking some vitamins. or maybe your body is craving for water so something moist is good. i always view cravings as some sort of signal from the brain. when our body lack something, we'd develop a craving. seeing how tomatoes are good for health, i see no harm in satisfying this craving.
11 Apr 09
Hi applefreak, Thank you so much for saying that, I was begining to worry, yes I maybe lacking in something, I do drink a lot of water too so its all good with my cravings as long as its not chocolate but I can only eatr them when I am in the mood but haven't been for a while, I just love my cherry tomatoes. Funny how our 'cravings' change as we get older. I never used to eat raw carrots, but lately I've been going through them faster than a rabbit could. lol My doc says it's the aging process and the body needing certain nutrients in certain foods and so we develop cravings for things we never would have craved or even eaten before. So I just listen to my body and feed it what it wants! LOL I'll trade you some cherry tomatoes for some carrots................

we export them from other countries. in the philippines i don't think it is grown here that much i think. but in other asian countries i think they have that though. but maybe in few places here we have that but i have not heard of it though. it is quite expensive to buy cherry tomato in groceries. they say it taste much better than the ordinary tomatoes we get used to.

Tamara, I love cherry tomatoes too, but I don't pop them as much as you do, I do love them in salad. But, do be careful. Tomatoes of any kind including the cherry type do contain a lot of acid and in time they could cause some stomach problems, so do be careful hon.

Hi misskit, Yes I have cut down on them and only had a few today so that is not too bad, I do drink a lot of water though. Tomorrow I'm getting some grapes and pumpkin seed, sunflower seed too, that should keep me going while mylotting. Thanks for your coments and nice to see you again. Tamara

You mean real cherry tomatoes or candy? If you're eating real ones, be cautious of all the acid you are ingesting. Most of the time I don't snack between meals but do like a cup of coffee in the morning, water or Crystal Light in the afternoon and water in the evening. Once in awhile I'll treat myself to a Pepsi.

I have never eaten tomatoes that way. I like them in salads and sliced with vegetables, but never by themselves. However, I do think that is a good and healthy way you are eating them just don't overeat. Enjoy your cherry tomatoes. Good eating. I have a craving for cookies. I don't buy them because they are not good for me.

Well, Tamara. If you were younger, I'd be asking if you could be pregnant too. Then again, it has been known. Oh dear. LOL. Great thing to have a hankering for though. Much healthier than chocolates and Easter eggs and so on. But as others have said, you'd better be careful you don't overdo it. And yes, I do love cherry tomatoes when they are fresh and sweet. But I've never ate more than about four or five at one time.
10 Apr 09
Hi jakill, Yeah it would have been a miracle if I was pregnant lol, but I was told its to do with my age needing something for my body and thats why I was craving for them, I am still eating them but need to go get some more as it running out, thanks. Tamara
