The cats go in, the cats go out, the cats have whiskers on their snout. ( a song I frequently sing as I provide the entrance and exit for said cats)

Somebody's been reading My Profile! And no,I don't remember or know where it originally came from..It just seemed very true when I heard it first, and I wanted it as a sig.. My cat sure seems to think it's his place and that I'm here to look after His needs..

I think when you only have a few cats then they have staff, with my cats, they have to give orders sometimes to make sure that we remember to keep the bowls filled.

LOL I agree so wholeheartedly! Our Tia just oozes arrogance and likes to make sure she can get everyone who enters our house to do just as she wants them too - it is amazing to watch! She doesn't like me as much as the others as she can't get me to do what she wants me to ! lol xxxx

Erm BTW I noticed it doesn't say anything about bunny rabbits??? I am getting the bit between my teeth now as everywhere I go (apart from the pet shop) has supplies for cats and dogs but not for poor, cute, lovable bunny rabbits??? You really can't tell we have recently added 2 bunnies to our family can you? xxx

LOL--Well I guess my two cats are served by a staff of one....me. I've never heard that particular quote but heard of a good number of others like these: "You can keep a dog; but it is the cat who keeps people, because cats find humans useful domestic animals." - George Mikes from "How to be decadent "Dogs come when they're called. Cats take a message and get back to you." - Mary Bly "Cats are smarter than dogs. You can't get eight cats to pull a sled through snow. " - Jeff Valdez "Beware of people who dislike cats." - Irish Proverb "Dogs believe they are human. Cats believe they are God." - Unknown "Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this." - Anonymous " There are many intelligent species in the universe. They are all owned by cats." - Anonymous "People who hate cats, will come back as mice in their next life." - Faith Resnick There are a lot more from here http://www.catsinfo.com/catquotes.html (Warning: NOT a referral link but a link to more cat quotes)

Oh yeah!! I do agree! Dogs take the love, food etc. you give them. Cats wait for you to bring it to them on their terms. After all they are majestic beings I guess, ( in their eyes anyway!!).

yes and no, because although they say that cats are independent my babies won't leave me alone, they are either always on me, by my chair sleeping in my bed or with my son doing the same things.

I think even the Dogs around here have staff, it seems like a main part of our lives are turned over to our animals. But cats are much more independent.

I have them both and they're all a part of the family. It's literally like having kids. You pick up after them. I do pick up after our dog, just like the cats in their litter. I don't see much of a difference. I think with the dog it's more work to get it for me truly. All of our pets, 2 cats and a dog, are very loving, affectionate and smart animals. I can't relate to this quote, sorry.

I totally agree. That's why I'd much rather have a cat for a pet. It's more rewarding because you have to earn their respect. Dogs love you no matter what because they're dependent on you for food and comfort. Cats are more resourceful, they can find their own food if they need to. You also get the feeling when you pet cats that they're just allowing you to do so.

It is obvious that a cat wrote it, of course. Yes, I am the valet, the door man, the waitress, the stylist, and the massage therapist, to name a few of the staff my cats have.

I love this quote, because it is so true! Owning a cat is so different to owning a dog - I have owned both at the same time, and the cat was the "boss" even though he came after the dogs! This quote is brilliant, and if anyone knows who wrote it, please let us know.

For various reasons, we will only have a cat, no dog. However, I agree with your statement that cats have staff.
