Dear Diary...

myLot is my "interactive journal" of sorts. When things are on my mind, I come here to express my thoughts. When I am trying to sort something out, I sometimes come here to figure things out. I appreciate the replies and enjoy gaining new insights on things. Sometimes it also just has the affect of "talking things out loud" so that I can sort through those thoughts. Does anyone else feel tha myLot works this way for them?

I use my myspace blog for that very purpose. If I could get my readers to come over here, I'd gladly switch...it'd only make sense to make money from my writings, afterall.

I've been on here for only a few days, and yes, I do really feel like that. I already feel a bit better about a few personal issues that I've been carrying around. It is rather like a diary, isn't it? That is why I'm glad I found this place! I figured I should be making money to do something I enjoy doing just for fun!

I have come across a few people that have been too disagreeable attacking what I say and so that sort of turned me off from mylot, I do sometimes put up a discussion and I talk about what is happening in my life but not too often anymore, when you speak your heart and somebody attacks it it is not a nice feeling.

I hear where you are coming from. It's like by being a part of myLot we can talk over our problems, concerns, dilemmas and problems with our friends here and in return, receive feedback, other differing opinions, support and encouragement. The only problem I have along these lines is when people use myLot like a diary. That leaves me a bit cold...or bored...or both...

Sorry, I'm having computer problems and I'm a little preoccupied. Where I put the second 'problems', it was meant to be 'thoughts and ideas' above.

I tend to keep my more personal things over on my personal blog on another site, but at times I've voiced concerns here to seek out answers, work things through, or such. I've found some helpful and others hurtful. I would like to think that we could all help each other, but I realize on a site so large that not everyone is going to be as kind about helping others work through issues, nor see eye to eye. I'm glad it's working for you though. Namaste-Anora

MyLot, Gather, my blog, my e-mail... my professional writing, I don't write fiction. This is how I feel about my writing. it comes out of my head,, and it comes from what I am feeling. It is because my writing is all about how I am feeling, and what is happening inside of my head that I don't, and can't write any kind of fiction. i know exactly how you feel.

Yes. You can vent. You can take out your frustration in a constructive way. You can take a load off just by participating in discussions or even starting your own. Mylot is a great place to sometimes ease your mind.

I think alot of us do this...call it a diary, a venting place or a sounding board but alot of us, I think, come to MyLot to talk about our daily lives, problems, celebrations, thoughts and feelings. It's kind of like therapy but A LOT cheaper LOL ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Oh yes, I definitely agree. You can really get some therapy or interaction on here. I just love my friends on Mylot. Interactive journal is true because I utilize my friends on here when I have a problem or just feel I need some serious feedback. It really helps. I feel fortunate to have the caliber of friends that I do have here as well. It is all good!!

Hey miamilady! It sure does feel like that to me sometimes too! That's what makes mylot so incredible! You just never feel like you are alone and there is always someone here for you no matter what time it is, or what you have to say there is always someone here to answer you! And it doesn't matter what you have to say, nobody will judge you (well most of the time!). It is like a big family that is always here for you! That's what mylot feels like to me and I don't know what I would do without my many mylot friends, like you!

You are not alone MiamiLady, I do the same thing. It really helps to vent when things are bothering me and it helps me sort things out when things are tough to work out on my own and my feelings and thoughts get too intertwined to see my way clear. The biggest advantage of using Mylot to write down my feelings and such, is the feedback and advice. It really helps when I get to hear different perspectives on a situation -- it helps me make better decisions.
